I decided to give my review for the whole series here, instead of writing an individual review for each book.
I first came across this series a few years ago. We were going through some hard times in our family, and, well, let's just say God used these books to encourage me. ;)

When I realized our church library had the whole series a few weeks ago, I decided to re-read them. It was so much fun to be re-united with Tricia, Brad, Rhonda, David, and Tricia and David's parents. (And I still totally want David for a big brother. Just sayin; ;))
The series is light and an overall easy read, but it touches on some really deep, tough issues. I think the only think I didn't like about the books was the way the author handled the girl/guy relationships. I'll just say that it's a LOT different then I have been raised! But thankfully there really wasn't a lot of it.
Overall this is still one of my favorite series, and one I know I will be reading again. :)

I wish the series did not have to end. I kinda wish I knew what happened between Red and Tricia, did she go back to Kentucky? Or did she stay with her mom and were Red and her still in love?

I had read this before, but was still trying to figure out the ending...it's a mystery!

After the accident, Trish Evanston was concerned about Firefly. She begged the doctors to release her from the hospital. But the Doctor insisted her punctured lung needed more time to heal. They had told her that smashed ribs like hers would be painful, but she could barely walk. She had been in the hospital nearly a week, the first few days she had been too sick to care. The nurse brought in a box of mail, plus 2 pieces so big they wouldn't fit in the box! She agreed to a Diet Coke & some snacks. Red, her almost boyfriend, was racing in the eighth today. Marge, her mom, decided she needed her hair washed, too. Her mom had been there every time Trish opened her eyes, both day & night, until last night. She finished her ice cream & went over to the balloons, it seemed everyone had sent one! Trish really wanted her hair done!

Leaning over the sink, she almost lost her balance. She had to wait for the nurse to help dry her hair. Studying would pass the time. After it was dry the nurse told her to take care of herself.

After dinner, Trish heard Red in the hall. He had fallen off a horse at the track. They listened to the news where Trish heard that they may have to put Firefly down...

I enjoyed this series very much. A girl who lives on a horse farm in Oregon wants to be a jockey. Finally, her dream is coming true. Just as it has come true, her father dies of cancer. After this, she learns to cope with his death by turning to God. The one thing I did not appreciate about this book was the whole boyfriend/girlfriend thing throughout the series. But, overall, I definately enjoyed them.

It was just about everything I hoped it would be. It didn't solve all the problems, but such is life, and it was a good end to the series. So sad that there's no more!! Thanks for a great series, Lauraine Snelling!!

I thought this was a great end to the series. All issues resolved, some direction for Tee's future, but not totally spelled out. I'd love another series about Tricia as an adult!

I loved this book, and how all things worked together for God to those that love God. I just wish that I didn't have to see this series end!
