Since I hadn't read anything in a few months I decided to get back on track and find something that was a quick, stimulating, intellectual read. The two organs in the human body that I like most are the heart and brain. This time I fancied reading about the brain. What I liked best about this quick read was that the author linked normal brain function to diseases or injuries that can lead to a loss of proper brain functioning. When I was curious as to a few of the brain problems mentioned in the book, I simply watched a few videos on ‘YouTube’ to get a clearer picture of the symptoms that people exhibited (in particular Huntington’s disease was both interesting and sad. I kept thinking about the sleeping and swallowing issues these people deal with on a daily bases. That really stuck with me.).
