The Comforters brings together all story driven poems by E. P. Tuazon from 2008-2012. Includes Chapbooks Animals, Love Will Tear Us Apart, and The Magician. ""Nuanced and revealing, Tuazon's stories uncover as much about its characters as we do ourselves reading it.""-S. L. Martin ""Love Will Tear Us Apart is more than just a collection of poems, it's like a slideshow of life's most heartbreaking vignettes. Each poem takes a magnifying glass to the small details in life-changing experiences. Death, adultery, romance, illness, and displacement are just some of the themes explored by Tuazon's writing. It is a very easy read, but the afterthoughts carry the most weight. Highly recommended for those who appreciate storytelling." -Di Roach
E. P. Tuazon is an LA native. He has published poems and short stories in several publications. He is the author of the short story collection THE SUPERLATIVE HORSE AND THE LAST OF THE LUPINS and two poetry chapbooks: ANIMALS and LOVE WILL TEAR US APART. Currently, he is a part of Advintage Press and The Blank Page Writing Club.
Heralding his predecessors, J.D. Salinger, Raymond Carver, and Haruki Murakami, Tuazon’s prose is meticulous and thoughtful with diction that is colloquial and real, rewarding readers with accessible complexity and catharsis. Each story he writes is meant to excite thought, uncover the surreal in the everyday and the extraordinary in the ordinary.
