I read this book as a read aloud with my son. It was an adaptation by C. Louise March of the original. While there were lots of pictures, I feel it still must have been for an older audience. She kept in many big words and difficult passages, even though she simplified the main story. She got the original storyline across, but it felt dry and boring to both my son and I. I've read many other simplified versions of classics that found a way to keep the excitement and taste of the original, but this just wasn't one of those.

Just a really boring book. The stories told are not my cup of tea, but there isn't even an attempt in keeping them interesting. It's simple, mindless, and made me stop reading after a few chapters...

I hated this book, I really did. It was so boring that I had to force myself through every word of it. Maybe the read version is better I don’t know but if I can barely get through the adapted version with its big print then I don’t think there’s a way I can get through the real version.

I was especially interested because this book mentions one of my ancestors (mythological) named Sir Urry, a Hungarian knight that was healed by Sir Lancelot!

Very cool. Found the tale a bit of an allegory of Christ and his quest. But I loved it anyway
