What I loved about this was seeing the list of ingredients. Lemon Cookies calls for 5 cents worth baking ammonia and 5 cents worth oil of lemon. Bran Drops call for Butter size of egg. Wedding Cake #1 calls for 10 cents worth Almond Nuts. Butter Tarts calls for Butter size of a walnut. Love it!
This is a Canadian Cookbook, originally printed in 1915. $1.00 Canadian in 1915 is the equivalent of about $23.00 today. So that 10 cents worth of Almonds would be about $2.30.
