I read this to Julianna tonight. Ahe chose it from school library last week. She gives it a 5. She likes because she likes penguins. Cute educational book with cute photos of penguins and chicks.

Words that can also be found in the glossary are in bold print. There is a nice index at the end of the book as well. Index and glossary are bilingual as well as the text of the book. A solid purple line separates the English and Spanish text. Photographs are clear and appropriate. This is an informative book about baby penguins that readers will enjoy.

I used this short story that provides basic penguin facts during a penguin storytime. It provoked a number of questions from the kids. It is too short to be useful for kids writing reports, but it was just right for my audience of 3-6 year olds.
