Very generic, high-level treatment of each case study. I read the first few and gave up on this because it didn't really have any interesting details. Despite the title, most of the lessons just relate to giant bureaucratic projects in general and didn't really connect it to the software.
A useful if dated exploration of IT project management, focused on American enterprises in the 1980s and 90s and overly absorbed in aerospace. The general lessons are insightful, particularly for waterfall projects, though due to its age someone focused on current trends such as DevOps and CI/CD will find it wanting.
