First Aid Basics by Rebecca Weber is a great children's health science book. It is most appropriate for kindergarten through first grade children. I would use this book in the classroom for children to learn about safety in and out of the classroom and what they should do if someone needs help. First Aid Basics teaches children what to do in case of emergencies as well as common injuries that can happen every day.

In need of a life science book for a 3-5 grader that is informative but very easy to understand and follow? Then First Aid Basics is the perfect book to read. It gives the basic scenarios of the most common known ailments and injuries that require first aid. It explains each scenario/situation and to give aid for it clearly and easily for a child to understand. No mature content.

This is the book I chose for my health science book. This book is geared for 1st - 3rd grade students. The book itself just goes through what you should do in different emergencies. Some content concern would be the use of some larger words.
