Albert wants to make sure that his big sister, Wanda, never gets more of anything than he does. So he carefully keeps score and discovers that sometimes 0 is better than 1! (Math concept: Comparing)
My kids could relate to it since my son keeps a score too just like Albert on how many things his elder sister gets just like Albert's sister Wanda. The book has beautiful illustrations of the mouse family and it is easy to read and understand.
Albert, a mouse, wants to ensure that everything between sister Wanda and him stays even-steven. This math book illustrates the concept of comparing numbers and features realistic drama in text and fun activities that follow the story and help build on the concepts introduced in the story.
A good series for preparing for the Common Core State Standards.
Good concept book but has too many words and number boxes too small. Should have made the numbers more a part of the story. My harshest review on math books comes when there are other things to count - such as the chocolate chip cookies that each tea party member gets. Each cookies has different amount of chips and that is often confusing when asking children to count.
