In Nigeria, Rape cases are under reported due to stigmatization, victims blaming, failure on the part of the police to investigate sexual violence, and all these deprive victims/survivors from getting adequate justice. This book contains types of rape, causes of rape, effects of rape on victims and legal perspective.
ABOUT THE AUTHORS
JANET ADEYEMI is an educationist, Principal Education Officer with the Lagos State Ministry of Education, Education District 1, currently serving at ljaiye Ojokoro Senior High School. She has great passion for teaching and imparting positive values and life coping skills in the young ones and also love to play memorable roles in the growth of children and young adults.
SANDRA BENJAMIN was born on 1st November and is Efik by birth. She is a graduate of University of Calabar and was called to the Nigerian bar in 2007. She is also a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management. She works with the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria, Lagos Office. She is very passionate about fighting the cause of the indigent and down trodden in the society. She is happily married to Engr. Ofon Benjamin and they are blessed with 3 beautiful children. Sandra loves Cooking, Singing and Researching. She is the Legal Adviser to Women of Inestimable Values Foundation.
