A new series and a good read for early chapter book readers. This series has humor and "gentle" cliffhanger chapters that will keep young readers reading. Add this series to the popular A to Z Mysteries, Jigsaw Jones, etc.

I started a new session of Read to a Child. I'm reading to a 4th grader named Isaiah this time. He's great! This was the first book we finished and I thought it was so much fun! I definitely like the diversity of the characters and I thought the writing was so smart.

This is a fun little mystery in the Milo & Jazz Mysteries series by Lewis B. Montgomery and Amy Wummer. We've read the first two books and will certainly get more from our local library. The mysteries are perfect for children and I love that, especially with this story, children can learn from the tale. When Milo and Jazz deduce what poisoned the little pig, they show that we all need to be vigilant about protecting our pets. We enjoyed reading this story together.

Really cute chapter book mystery. Two friends, Milo and Jazz, want to solve the mystery of who's poisoning Jazz' adorable new piglet of many names. With Mrs. Budge, the upset gardening neighbor, and bully Gordy in the picture, they have strong suspects. But is it either of them? No, it's Milo's little brother, Ethan, who's sharing his candy with the piglet, giving her lots of Kisses. A fun cast of characters includes Milo's little brother Ethan and Jazz' older siblings. This is funny and an interesting mystery to try to solve, too. I need to look at the other ones in the series.
