Who would want to harm an adorable pet piglet? Could it be the suspicious next-door neighbor, Mrs. Budge? Or how about the annoying class joker, Gordy Fletcher? It’s up to Milo and Jazz to find out the identity of the mysterious pig poisoner. And there’s no time to lose!
A new series and a good read for early chapter book readers. This series has humor and "gentle" cliffhanger chapters that will keep young readers reading. Add this series to the popular A to Z Mysteries, Jigsaw Jones, etc.
This is a good series for young detectives! The mysteries are well-written and the answers aren't obvious, but are logical. Great for a classroom read-aloud or for independent readers at grade two-four levels.
I started a new session of Read to a Child. I'm reading to a 4th grader named Isaiah this time. He's great! This was the first book we finished and I thought it was so much fun! I definitely like the diversity of the characters and I thought the writing was so smart.
This was a fun read. The characters all felt real. I liked the family and neighbor conflicts that acted as a background for the mystery. This felt like something that could actually happen.
My 8 year old son really enjoys this series. This book was a little more obvious than the others in the series that we have read, he figured out what was happening almost right away.
This is a fun little mystery in the Milo & Jazz Mysteries series by Lewis B. Montgomery and Amy Wummer. We've read the first two books and will certainly get more from our local library. The mysteries are perfect for children and I love that, especially with this story, children can learn from the tale. When Milo and Jazz deduce what poisoned the little pig, they show that we all need to be vigilant about protecting our pets. We enjoyed reading this story together.
Really cute chapter book mystery. Two friends, Milo and Jazz, want to solve the mystery of who's poisoning Jazz' adorable new piglet of many names. With Mrs. Budge, the upset gardening neighbor, and bully Gordy in the picture, they have strong suspects. But is it either of them? A fun cast of characters includes Milo's little brother Ethan and Jazz' older siblings. This is funny and an interesting mystery to try to solve, too. I need to look at the other ones in the series.
