More adventures of Gon. Good fun, beautiful illustrations, strange stories.

I found this at the store where I work. The cover caught my eye. I recognized Gon from an old fighting game, Tekken 3. Even in a game populated with robot samurai and wooden warriors the little dinosaur - a secret unlockable character - always felt out of place. Turns out he was a licensed character hailing from his own popular manga. Figures.
Gon Wild collects the 3rd and 4th books in the series. Every issue is completely wordless and follows silent comedy routines, ignoring any kind of narrative continuity. Incredibly strong and totally indestructible (he's the sole survivor of whatever killed every other dino apparently), Gon's a stubborn little glutton who spends his time abusing other animals for personal gain. He mounts and overexerts a lion to catch a wildebeest, steers a shark into dry land and in the funniest strip leads an ill-fated possee to devour every mushroom in the woods. At his most altruistic the benefit can be mutual: he does split the wildebeest with the lion, and saves a bird to repay its own kindness.
I had fun with the cute and slightly mean thing, and I admire comedy that does away with words.

Confirmed my suspicions about him from tekken 3, Gon is an asshole fucking with everyone he comes across and just being generally annoying. Kill on sight
