This was a read that all ages can enjoy about coming of age in the mist of agony, hardships, and tragedy
Cody Calhoun is a 10th grader playing basketball who has injured his knee. in order to get back on the court in top shape he must endure physical therapy from a tough, but generous man, Mitchell Burke. But Burke sees more potential in Cody and so pushes him to take on bike riding to help his knee. Then come the bike racing and the endurance Cody must find in himself and want passionately. Cody doesn't know he is about to make a hard left in life as choices must be made. The maturity he gains through his trails is great to see.
