With the help of industrialist Andrew Carnegie, the author of this remarkable book spent two decades interviewing hundreds of people renowned for their wealth and achievement. He distills the collective wisdom of Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, John D. Rockefeller, and others, offering priceless advice on positive thinking and overcoming adversity.
Oliver Napoleon Hill was an American self-help author and conman. He is best known for his book Think and Grow Rich (1937), which is among the best-selling self-help books of all time. Hill's works insisted that fervid expectations are essential to improving one's life. Most of his books were promoted as expounding principles to achieve "success". Hill is a controversial figure. Accused of fraud, modern historians also doubt many of his claims, such as that he met Andrew Carnegie and that he was an attorney.
This a great start to Thinking and Growing Rich. Talks about a great deal of successful personnel, leaders, inventors, dreamers and believers, goes into detail on how these people throughout history prevailed. I definitely will recommend this book to people who are in search for personal growth, success, money and power. Follow the steps it takes to get their step by step day in day out...Never quit. Quitters never win.
This is an excellent exercise book that has asks a number of pointed questions to help you get clarity about acquiring the proper mindset. For $20.00 its the best tool out there for self-analysis. Its really helped me clarify my plans for the future. I would give this workbook my highest level of recommendation.
A fantastic read about some of the most interesting American historical figures of the 20th century and how they found success from the point of view of a very interesting figure in his own wright.
Often takes the high level view of how to succeed and follows a matra approach that was very much fitting of the time. Some of the ways the information is expressed now does not necessarily have the same affect, at least in delivery, but if some care is framing for reference the books is quite helpful. Much of the information is timeless. So much so that it is ripped off or quoted by others without credit because the book's ideas are so well known.
In my personal opinion much of the ideas provide foundation to robust human mode of operation much like Early Retirement extreme to be necessary but not sufficient to success. And consistent operation of at least some of the recommendations will undoubtedly produce desirable outcomes.
Interesting book that is written by Napoleon Hill with theory of Dale Carnegie, it is a first book ever written on success and achievement of wealth and is basis for all other published books later like secret, 10x and etc. Book basically talks about a very simple method that author Napoleon Hill got from Dale Carnegie one of wealthiest people in the world of his time. Carnegie actually hired Hill to verify his formula of success by interviewing all successful people of his time to verify if his formula of success is correct. Hill verified the formula and it is based on auto suggestion and affirmation, that is basically programing your subconscious mind to steer you towards success.
I am very skeptical of this info thats why I gave it a low rating, I just don't believe if i will sit on a couch and just day dream all day of having billions in my hand that this will result in me becoming a billionaire. I truly believe that only hard work and dedication will result in riches and believe books like this, secret and etc are misleading and makes you waist time instead of working towards attainment of you goal. Sorry for being a nay sayer but this is just me. If you on the other hand believe that you can day dream and this way attract your riches then you might find this book very helpful.
I really liked the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill because it showed me that there are a lot of things that i can Achieve anything when I put my hard work into it , and that i should never give up when my plan fails I should always get trying , I personally give this book a five Star review.
I was not a big fan of the style. Seemed sort of corny. However the basic principal of thinking about something helps achieve that thing makes sense in that you are really just brining more constant focus to your wants and desires.
Nipollion Hill, Remarkably presented 13 Lessons, of how to transmutate your subconcious mind into new world of Victory/Self Development/Riches/ He sum up all the ideas of over 500 successful people and Remarkably Presented this Book. we all have two kind of mind (concious mind and sub concious mind) our subconcious mind is more power then our concious mind. we have to enroll and Harness our subconcious mind, So in order to accomplish Our difinite purpose, we need to harness the power of our subconcious mind and program it for what we want.Lets Dig in the programming which is Explained. In order to accomulate Great things in life or any other Goal that matters, It's not that easy to mingle (to combine) all these impulses of positivety in our subconcious mind but its entirely possible. HOW; We have to be crystall cleared about our Goals which we want in Life, no matter how difficult they are, to get through these obstacles. We have to feeds our brain (subconcious) with positive impulse of thoughts. After getting Rich with positive And emotionally strong with Burning Desires, the subconcious Mind affirms our impules of thought through Repetition, and poured it with an positive Obssession and Auto Suggestion. “Both Poverty (Negitive thought) and Riches (positive thought) are the Offspring of our thought” (Nipollion Hill). We get what, we intensively believes in, but proscrastination emotions blackmail our concious and subconcious mind with Fear, poverty.... So have faith with what you want in life, no matter what the influences are.
Developing the thought of success first, before anything.
After you are able to develop a burning desire, for whatever it is you want, then you are able to move into the next step of having a definite plan to follow.
Lastly, execute and surround yourself with like-minded individuals that will continue to push you in the best ways possible.
No actual valuable contents. Just repeating on telling you that you should read the book because this can make you rich. And he re-phrase it in a thousand different ways to form the book....
My Suggestion is to do more than read this book. I suggest you study it and apply All Steps to Riches. One of my favorite chapters of all is the Subconscious Mind and The Brain.
This book is for anyone who wants to stop treating success like a lottery ticket and start treating it like a skill. Napoleon Hill interviewed the titans of his era—Ford, Edison, Carnegie—and distilled their secrets into principles that still work today. It’s not about “get rich quick,” it’s about “think differently, act consistently, and grow rich eventually.”
Key Takeaways:
1. Desire Wanting success isn’t enough—you need burning desire. Think of it like oxygen: without it, nothing else matters. Example: Edison failed thousands of times, but his obsession kept him going until the light bulb worked.
2. Faith Belief is the fuel. If you don’t believe in yourself, no one else will. Example: Henry Ford demanded a V8 engine when engineers said it was impossible. His faith kept them working until it became reality.
3. Autosuggestion Your brain listens to what you tell it. Feed it success, not doubt. Example: repeating affirmations like “I’m building wealth” rewires your mindset faster than doom‑scrolling Twitter.
4. Specialized Knowledge General knowledge is trivia; specialized knowledge makes money. Example: a doctor earns more than a generalist because they know something specific. Same with investors who master one niche.
5. Imagination Ideas are the raw material of riches. Example: Walt Disney imagined a mouse and built an empire. Creativity is currency.
6. Organized Planning A dream without a plan is just a nap. Example: Andrew Carnegie didn’t just dream steel—he mapped factories, workers, and systems.
7. Decision Successful people decide quickly and rarely change their minds. Example: procrastination kills more dreams than failure ever will.
8. Persistence Stick with it when others quit. Example: Colonel Sanders pitched his chicken recipe over 1,000 times before someone said yes.
9. The Mastermind Surround yourself with brains better than yours. Example: Steve Jobs had Wozniak, Bill Gates had Paul Allen—success is rarely solo.
10. The Subconscious Mind Your inner autopilot runs the show. Feed it success, not fear. Example: if you constantly think “I’m broke,” your subconscious will make sure you stay that way.
11. The Brain Think of it as a broadcasting station—your thoughts attract like frequencies. Example: focus on opportunity, and you’ll start spotting it everywhere.
12. The Sixth Sense Call it intuition, gut, or “spidey sense.” The greats trust it. Example: Rockefeller often made decisions based on instinct—and they paid off.
Quick Recap: Desire → Want it like oxygen Faith → Believe first, proof comes later Autosuggestion → Talk to your brain until it listens Specialized Knowledge → Trivia is free, expertise pays Imagination → Ideas are the currency of empires Organized Planning → A dream without a plan is just a nap Decision → Procrastination is the silent dream killer Persistence → Fail 1000 times, succeed once—it’s worth it Mastermind → Success is rarely solo—find your tribe Subconscious Mind → Feed it success, not fear Brain → Tune your thoughts like a radio station Sixth Sense → Trust your spidey sense—it’s richer than logic
Why its a Great Read: Because it makes you laugh at your own habits. You’ll catch yourself saying, “Yep, that’s me procrastinating instead of deciding,” or “I’ve been feeding my brain Netflix instead of autosuggestion.” Hill’s principles are timeless because they’re human.
Summary: Think and Grow Rich isn’t about quick hacks—it’s about rewiring your mindset to think like the wealthy. Desire, faith, persistence, imagination—these aren’t just words, they’re the building blocks of success. Read it, and you’ll stop asking “Why not me?” and start saying “Watch me.”

I am the type of person who is really overconscious about anything, which often makes me feel inferior and lacking in confidence. Despite this, I consider myself to be okay in facing any defeat.
I am not very skeptical of others, and love to give positive vibes to those around me, encouraging them to trust in their own strengths.
However, I find it difficult to highlight my own strengths, fearing that others will have negative thoughts about me and see my efforts as worthless. I need to work on believing in myself more and not letting my overconsciousness hold me back.
Until one day, I found this book that completely changed my perspective on success and motivation. As I delved into its pages, I realized the power of having a burning desire, a strong mind, and intense emotions in achieving success.
The stories of successful individuals mentioned in the book inspired me to take action and work towards my goals.
I am grateful for stumbling upon this book as it has ignited a fire within me to strive for greatness.
This book is a treasure trove of tips on how to effectively move an action plan forward.
It is filled with reflection questions that help me understand where i currently stand in my progress. By guiding me on how to remove self-created obstructions from my minds.
This book empowers me to take charge of our goals and dreams. Reading this book will inject new motivation into my lives, inspiring me to push past obstacles and achieve success.
Book offers more of action items than food-for-thought. It will be amazing to quantify the benefits once one implements the techniques.
There is no mention of a shortcut to become rich as looks from the title. Rather, it is a well versed approach. I found it more of psychological & behavioral kind.
The DESIRE & definiteness of PURPOSE watered with FAITH. Then visualizing to see it happen. Emotions play a vital role here. Role of conscious & sub-conscious mind can't be sided away. It paves a way for the technique of AUTO-SUGGESTION.
Imagination, Organized Planning, Self-Analysis at regular intervals, quickness in definite Decision Making but slow in changing them, Persistence, role of Master Mind Group, channelizing energy through Sex-Transmutaion, harnessing positive & negative Emotions, utilizing 6th sense for Creative Imagination, overcoming many types of Fears. All these dimensions make the process more realistic. The examples of some of the most successful people helps in trusting the process.
The Think and Grow Rich Workbook is a practical companion to Napoleon Hill’s classic, designed to help readers apply timeless principles of success to their daily lives. It breaks down Hill’s teachings into actionable steps, encouraging goal setting, positive thinking, and persistence—qualities that align well with Islamic values of hard work (العمل) and intention (نية).
However, some concepts—like the idea of “manifesting desires” through intense focus—should be viewed with caution. In Islamic teachings, while effort is essential, the outcome is ultimately in Allah’s hands (Tawakkul). So, readers may find benefit in the workbook's structure and motivational push, but it's important to filter its philosophy through an Islamic lens, maintaining a balance between striving for worldly success and remembering our higher spiritual purpose.
Overall, it's a helpful tool for self-development, as long as one stays grounded in faith and uses it as a means, not the ultimate goal.
I went into this book thinking it was going to be a financial book that spoke on investments but boy was I wrong. It is definitely not a traditional finance book but more geared toward self-help, self-empowerment, and tapping into your subconscious to get on the road to riches. The book’s chapters are titled with the keys to riches that the author outlines and they are very through and in depth. I noticed the second half of the book very heavily focused on the subconscious and desire and mind of an individual which was a very interesting take. The book often prompted the reader with questions to use to evaluate ones self while reading it and also encouraged the reader to pick up the book again in weeks or months time and reevaluate their answers to the questions or reread certain chapters. A insightful book!
This book is well known, a lot of authors are mentored by that like Bob proctor. Abraham lincolm became someone and succesful as from the age of 40.
Most of us are good startes but tend to give up when their tired.. failure cannoot co-op with persistance.

The fear of being critisised affects the confident especially when the person has just fear inside, as fear destroys our vibration and intillegence.

I found this book to be an incredibly insightful and inspiring read. Hill's extensive research into the lives of successful individuals provides a wealth of valuable advice and strategies for achieving one's goals.
The book is packed with practical advice on goal-setting, positive thinking, and persistence, as well as the importance of surrounding oneself with supportive individuals. I appreciated the practical nature of the advice, as well as the emphasis on cultivating a strong desire to succeed.
Overall, it is a timeless classic that offers valuable insights into the principles of success. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking to achieve success in any area of their life. It's a must-read for anyone who wants to unlock their full potential and live their best life.
I try to take the time the book was written into account of its review. Think and Grow Rich originally being written in 1937, it precedes many books with the similar principles in it. So, if you've read more modern texts on similar principles, it may seem like nothing new, but this book predates many of them by 50+ years. Napoleon Hill really was ahead of his time with this writing, and its awesome he has firsthand accounts with some of America's most well known industry magnates. Ford and Carnegie, specifically. This book is worth a read and to have on the shelf. While the title and much of the writing is geared toward money, all the principles can be applied to anything in life, and are especially useful in leadership positions.
I think this book was way ahead of its time, now that I finally read it I can see the reason for the hype over it it, the author has a way with words and I like his vibe and the way he explains things so simply the book explains the 13 steps for self mastery to get your mind free to finally be successful and be rich, this was published at the end of the depression and it felt like I travelled back in time to those hard times and reflect on how far we've come I have to say if I hadn't read (Awaken the Giant Within ) by Tony Robbins this book will change my life in so many ways .. it's still a good book and it had very good insights but I think there are so many newer books I can relate with more
Think And grow rich In the timeless classic "Think And grow rich" by Napoleon Hill, the secret to success is revealed through the concept of harnessing the power of the mind. Hill emphasizes the importance of having a definite purpose, unwavering faith, and a burning desire to achieve one's goals. Through the principles of Think And grow rich and visualization, individuals can program their minds for success and attract the opportunities and resources needed to accomplish their dreams.
I am sure you heard a lot about this book and is worth reading. This book would get you thinking and encourage you to work towards your goals.
Napoleon Hill thinks that we are what we think. And if we tell ourselves positive things, our minds would work towards becoming what we tell ourselves we are. This is his opinion and new writers and entrepreneurs agree. Hence, pay attention to what are you telling yourself!
The main factors to focus your attention on are desire, faith and autosuggestion.
Unlike other books, this goes into more detail and highlights the fundamentals to follow in trying to achieve your goal. Several aspects should be met when striving to find the right way, and one of the requirements that I found extremely important is the way we deal with people. After all, no one can achieve a target without knowing how to communicate with others, and this exclusively refers to leaders. It’s amazing how people anticipate the future and at the time the book was written, modern leadership was highlighted. Based on Napoleon Hill’s opinion, a leader should consider the following:
1. No follower wishes to be dominated by a leader who lacks self-confidence; 2. People who cannot control themselves cannot control others; 3. Without a sense of fairness and justice, no leader can command and retain the respect of his followers; 4. The successful leader plans the work; 5. Do more than they require for their followers; 6. No slovenly, careless person can become a successful leader. Leadership calls for respect; 7. Leaders must assume responsibility for their mistakes and shortcomings;
And it simply equates to two types of leaders: leaders by consent (respecting the listed criteria), or leaders by force (without consent and sympathy of their followers). Napoleon Hill states that “History is filled with evidence that leadership by force cannot endure).
Enjoy reading!

Another great book from Napoleon Hill, easy to read and enjoyable. The author tries to bring what is needed to be rich, through a series of methods, people examples and explanations that if followed riches are there. Sincerely in the end, my feeling and think it's what the author tries also to pass, it's everything around us and how we decide to leave our life, we need to believe and move forward with our beliefs.
It a very good book that emphasizes the importance of having a definite purpose in life and aligning one's thoughts, actions, and emotions towards its attainment. It also explores the role of imagination, faith, and autosuggestion in influencing one's subconscious mind and attracting opportunities and resources.
Overall, "Think and Grow Rich" serves as a guide for cultivating the mindset, habits, and strategies necessary to achieve personal and financial success.
This workbook is a practical extension of Think and Grow Rich. It helps you set clear goals and take real action using exercises, writing prompts, and daily mindset habits. I liked the simple step-by-step process and space to write my own plans. Some activities feel repeated, but still very helpful for students who want to improve confidence, discipline, and success mindset.
A great tool for anyone who wants to apply the book — not just read it!
