I mean, what else would you call it when it does whatever it wants, whenever it wants?
Now I have Enoch and his coven looking at me like I’m the one, and a bunch of pissed off Chosen.
I have no answers and no time to deal with this shit. Lachlan and Keegan managed to get themselves caught by Adriel, the big bad lamia who murders and hunts Sentinels.
Time is running out, and If my Chosen and I can’t get battle ready, then we’re destined to become more names on the list of the missing.
It’s time to meet the lamia who’s been coming for me my whole life. It’s time to do what no one else has been able to do. It’s time to cut the fucker’s head off.
Author’s Note: This is the third book in The Lost Sentinel Series and ends with a cliffhanger. This book is a medium burn reverse harem story, intended for ages 18 years and older. This story contains strong language, sex, and violence.
Ivy Asher is addicted to chai, swearing, and laughing a lot (but not in a creepy, laughing alone kind of way). She loves the snow, books, and her family of two humans, and three fur-babies. She has worlds and characters just floating around in her head, and she's lucky enough to be surrounded by amazing people who support that kind of crazy.
This isn’t a review so much as an apology to the girls @ RHR who started reading this with me. I’m sorry I’m a big, fat flake. I blame the book, and the fact we have so many good new releases that I’m dying to read. I just don’t have time to waste on stuff that doesn’t keep my interest .
I’m assured by friends that the other 70% didn’t improve and quite frankly my time is precious. Why should I slog though the ten thousand confusing boys names, Vinna’s attitude and her forever growing harem. Where did it all go wrong? Book 1 was like finding a diamond in the rough, and now I can’t barely make it past 30%?
Probably not remembering any of the characters didn’t help, there wasn’t any recap to refresh my memory. The pages are filled with names, names and more names. All male. The part I did read didn’t feature a single other female. Probably just so Vinna can claim all the men for herself. Filed with drama about how she doesn’t know how those marks appeared on those guys absolutely nothing else happened.
Ivy you have done it again! Book 3 has left me needing and wanting more! I cannot wait until November for the 4th and final book to be released!
Vinna is one hardcore FMC. I love her and all the guys. I feel kinda bad for Enoch and his guys but I have a feeling all will end well with them in the end. I love all these characters and what they bring to this story. Sabin really stepped up along with Torrez so I was extremely excited about that!
If you haven't started this series yet and love a good RH with a bad*ss heroine then stop stalking and start reading. It's simply amazing and you will be kicking your own butt that you waited so long!
DNF. The characters all blended together, no individuals had their own personality. It made it too difficult to remember who was who from previous books and unable to get into the story.
3.5 stars. This book is just one of those RH stories where sometimes the smut is getting in the way of the storyline.. I mean not all the time. I mean lets be honest Torrez would never take away from the story.. but here in book 3 it just seemed like there was lot of down time spent forcing some love scene between one of the males and Vinna.. and a whole lot of time with Vinna trying to reassure her males she didn't want Enoch and his crew as apart of her mates. It did detract from the story a bit but honestly it wasn't a huge deal when it comes down to it.
Vinna and her boys finally take the fight to the big bad lamia, with the help of a couple lamia that are thought to be friends. Vinna's magic is going on the fritz though making all kinds of decisions like its sentient. The guys are all up in arms about Enoch and his crew and all their interesting marks. The plans are hatched and low and behold there is a betrayal and Vinna ends up collared. Vinna isn't going down without a fight though no matter the cost and we all know her boys won't let her do it alone.
We got quite a few reveals in this book that really set us up for some interesting stuff for the upcoming book or books. Not sure how long this series is going to be. I'm super excited though to continue the series.. Maybe this next book we won't have to spend so much time cooling the guys tempers and reassuring them the whole time..
Pages: 301 My rating (stars): 2.5 Read other books from this author in the future: not sure
First of all the ending would have been a good one for the series, but unluckily it is not the end of the story. The series started strong and I really liked the first book. So the second book was okay. But the third? I had a hard time to get trough this one. First 50% are about sex and relationship. Some are chosen and some are just left out and want to be chosen. The finally some movement on the other plot … Like the last 30% of the book. Those were the most exiting points in the book, but the last few % were like back to the semxy times and relation stuff. And at the end a big reveal (not gone put a spoiler here). I am really not sure, if I will try for the next instalment or just dnf the series.
This one was an action-filled rollercoaster and now with runes appearing on Enoch’s coven Vinna has her hands full attempting to get her men to play nice with them something that isn’t exactly proving easy and now with the escalation of Lachlan and Keenan’s capture at Adriel’s hands they definitely all need to be on the same page. Things inevitably come to a head in a dramatic showdown that was emotional and not without its losses.
I totally adored the addition of Torrez he’s proving to be a favourite of mine now and I loved the dynamic he shared with Vinna. We also get the addition of Siah a lamia with an agenda he’s actually a bit of a blank slate at the moment so I’m hoping to learn more about him in the final book.
I will say that I actually felt quite sorry for Enoch and his coven here and I’m hoping there’s something more in store for them than just being a Sentinels chosen bodyguards. I do think they’ve got a bit of a raw deal so hopefully, they’ll find their future happiness elsewhere and I’m hoping they either get their own book or maybe something special just for them in this final book of the series.
I’m definitely enjoying this a lot though I will say it does sometimes get a bit confusing with all of the various character names that Vinna seems to be collecting that’s basically my only gripe other than that I’m finding this an imaginative easy read.
Vinna and the gang are off to Belarus to try to save Lachlan from the evil clutches of Adriel, the lamia. While they come up with a plan, Vinna struggles to keep her harem from beating up Enoch's coven and tries to train them all to use their new runes and magic. Finally, a plan falls in their lap and Vinna faces off against the lamia that has hunted her for her whole life.
Whew! It doesn't sound like that much happened, but it did! I'm hooked and while I'm a little sad about the turnover of characters in this book, I'm excited to see what comes from the new direction in the plot implied by the ending. Count me in for book 4.
This one for me was a bit more filler in Vinna’s story. But first, I had NO IDEA The Shadowed Wings series was in the same universe as Vinna’s Lost Sentinels. So, forewarning The Reclamation book 3 of The Shadowed Wings will probably cross paths with Vinna in book 4 of Lost Sentinels or maybe after book 4, as I’ve yet to read it idk. But I did learn some things about Vinna from that story before I finished this one, so it’s important if you plan to read that series too, to probably wait until you get current in this series.
Alright onto how it was filler. Well Vinna cemented her bonds with her other mates fairly quickly, there’s a lot of infighting with Enoch and his coven with Vinna’s Chosen. It’s super frustrating. But Torrez more than makes up for it. I love him. So it breezed by these moments, then Vinna added another mate to the mix too. I wonder if she will end up with more. I thought due to the amount of points on her rune that she’d have 8, but maybe that was including herself in the count. Idk. If so then there won’t be more mates. I’m interested to see how the next book goes though because she’s going to go look for more people like her. It was just filler in the execution of the scenes more than anything else. Still I’m glad I read it and I’m excited for the next one.
3 stars. Vinna is definitely worth the investment of time and Ivy Asher is bringing it. I love how the guys have all become completely separate in my mind finally and how they each have a different relationship with her even together.
I love how she has new allies and how different groups are drawn to her for her, rather than the control of her that others want.
I love the resolution of a certain problem that gives her closure.
Absolutely can hardly wait for the next book in this series.
This is me going generous really, as if I hadn't liked the first book so much this would have been a 2.5.
This series started out with so much potential. Vinna was a great chatacet but I almost feel like she's become a characatur of herself. Now it's all jokes about greedy vagina's and blaming her magic for everything and suddenly knowing everything about her powers to the point where she's training everyone out.
The first half of this book was Vinna tediously dealing with her Chosen squabbling with the other three from the other coven she's mysteriously marked. It was just pretty annoying and kind of pointless.
I can't even really be bothered to review this properly as it has that little impact on me.
The concept is an interesting one, and Vinna had a lot of potential. The twist at the ending of this sounds like it could be interesting as well, but apart form Torez (who was the only man that didn't feel like a cardboard cut out to me) I just don't thi k I care enough about any of these characters to continue with this series.
I liked this book, but only when we got to about 75-80%. So pretty much the ending, the rest really wasn't a book, lots of heat pulling between her legs, being hot and bothered, and just pretty much horny at every turn. I didn't care to keep reading, it was the same thing page after page, that the book lost my attention in a big way. Our sentinel started out so strong and asskicking that I wasn't sure who this chick was, like a totally different person? I'm glad I kept reading and liked the ending, I wasn't sure how I felt about 7 mates, but I guess she needed one's from different sup's in the authors eyes, I'm hoping that's it though seriously 7 is like a freaking ton. Lol. I'm not sure where this book is going, it's about to take a turn for a whole new storyline so I will definitely check out the next installment hoping for our original badass to return and not some sex crazed teenager. I like I story, not a filler
4.8 stars. So good. So much new things happened. A few wins. A few losses. A few steamy good times. I literally can not wait to find out what their HEA looks like.
This series just keeps getting better. Not only is it smoking hot, there’s action and danger galore. I’ve also laughed a bit over some pretty immature jokes but I’m here for it. Even some of Vinna’s conversations with her bff had me chuckling. This book tackles the big bad head on and I’m so glad as the last book will clearly be a new plot and full of unknowns. I did not expect Vinna to gain more mates but apparently as special as she is, she’s growing her own version of a pack with mates and even protectors. Considering how much she can already do, I’m so excited to see what else she learns about who and what she is. I have a feeling there’s more secrets in her than even she realizes and it’ll be so fun to see her and all her mates (I’m not even sure how many at this point lol) learn to adjust.
I truly LOVE this series! Vin is everything I want to be when I grow up, though her journey is nothing short of horrific. Now, surrounded by her chosen (and a few spares she can’t explain) she is heading into the belly of the beast to confront the terror that has quite literally been staking her throughout her life, along with the people she is just beginning to know. This installment finds answers to quite a few questions, continued relationship growth, a few surprises and action enough to satisfy almost every one of her runes. It almost feels like a final novel with the way the threads are tied.... until the last page.
Pros: - Answers!!!! We get some. - Steam level: this one takes the heat and launches it sky high, hitting nuclear in sheer action. In no way does this detract from the story. - surprises..... there’s a few, trust me. - Satisfaction: two moments stand out as justice served or earned. - Flows well. - Character growth, you can SEE it. - Vin is learning to count on others and learning that she CAN’T do everything herself. Almost.
I purchased the first two books on audible a couple of days ago and I was hooked like an addict! I devoured those puppies like nobodies business and had to continue reading the third because no audible yet!
The storyline is fantastic and well written. Vin is a badass; and on the road if self discovery she collects a harem of delectable men. Yes, another paranormal RH, super hot and steamy by the way. 🥵 Vin doesn’t know of her origins but she has these powers and runes that she has had to rely on to survive. When a group of men are able to give her some answers she leaves everything behind. What she doesn’t know is that she is being hunted by a monster that wants her power for himself. There are many twists in this series and it has been wonderful unraveling them.
The characters are awesome, Vin has this crazy sense of humour and to say she isn’t modest is an understatement. Her love interests all sound hawt! If I could I’d trade places with Vin any day.
I really can’t wait to see where this continues if it does!
I love Vinna and all of her Chosen. The story is action packed and keeps moving forward at a great pace. The secondary characters are just as great as our heroes. The new dynamic between covens is just another element to add to this great series. Love the addition of new characters introduced and the possibilities of those to come in the next part of Vinna's journey. I can't wait for her discover all there is to being a Sentinel!
It also has to be said how refreshing it is to have a badass heroine from the beginning who stays badass throughout the whole story. Thank you Ms. Asher.
If you are looking for a great reverse harem series with a kick ass heroine, look no further.
This one just blew my mind! I thoroughly enjoyed the first two, but I loved this one! Absolutely action-packed and fast paced, with spice to round it all out, this was a great read all the way through.
Oh my god, where should i start? It was so many emotions and feelings in this book! I really like Vinna she a independent hot temperament badass woman who takes no bullcrap , can kick some good fucking ass. I like the guys even tho it's so many ups and downs with them, they annoying , loveable, cranky af, teaser, funny etc i love their banter Holy Damn what will happen with vaughn?! Is he for real or is he gone for good? I am so thankfull that Asher didn't give us that much of a chliffhanger, Phew! It was quite nice actually, i want the next one
Holy freaking cow the awesomeness is simply overflowing in this one, vinna and her chosen go to battle adriel and christ its a bloodbath... no spoilers here dont worry. But i gotta say this whole book has u torn in two trying to decide if u should read it all in one because ya so desperate to find out what happens or read bit by bit and read slow so it lasts that much longer. Whichever u choose u wont be disappointed its full of action drama love fighting hot steamy sex scenes with lickably delicious men but it will leave u wanting more x
I have to say that when I've read the first book in this series I thought that it wasn't that good or that bad but that it had a great potential so I kept reading.in the 1st book I didn't like that the main heroine was so passive and was basically doing what she was told to do, yes she grumbled while doing it but she was still doing it.
Second book was the heroine "awakening" for me, because she started to make up her own decisions and followed them through, which I really appreciated.
The third book on the other hand blew my mind! There was so many little and big things that I just loved and to be fair it felt like I was reading 2 books instead of 1. The story was compelling well built, the personal growth of the characters was believable (and amazing) and added twists to the story made this book one of my favourites this year so big thank you to the author because I really needed this.
Urg! Loved it! Oh my gosh! What a great instalment!!! I was so worried that they would kill the big bad and that would end the adventure there! I NEED SO MUCH MORE! I love these guys and their dynamics and woah did not expect a seventh!! So hot. There were some hilarious jokes and pop culture references that I loved, like Edna saying no to capes and Tom Holland dancing to Rihanna in particular that I'm not sure will date well and be remembered in a few years. But I loved and appreciated them!!
There were so many times were I became frustrated at Vinna's reasoning and such and she started to great on my nerves as a dumb character but then her later realising her mistakes made up for it, as if it was a deliberate plot device but justifiable as a flawed character no just a dumb thing to move the plot without excuse.
I need to more about the mating ceremony that was eluded to!! Also stop teasing me with group sex and then don't follow through for three books! Urg, this this hungry V needs more of these delicious stories. How does the dynamics of seven even works?! Very curious.
Very glad she has claimed all her men and added a surprise seventh! Overall a really enjoyable read, got me laughing so much and emotional at the right points! Hungry for more please!!
