I had high hopes for this book but it was so slow! I get it that the author wanted some history to the family but it could have been cut down a good fourth of this book. I have no idea what is going to happen as I have to read several more books to find out. The MC doesn't travel to the Shetland Islands until the last of the book and has technically been there three days and it ends. I have no desire to continue the series.
Love a book about legacy, faith, and family. The ending was disappointing in that it just ended without any drama. A cliffhanger would have been nice to lead into book #2 of this trilogy. I am hooked and will read the rest of the series.
