This is a excellent book to help us understand the difference between the lens of a worldview vs. the desires of our hearts.

Actually read it first 14 years ago and that led me to other books by the same author. This time, largely a review, gave me a chance to re-examine the very practical Christian formation beginning from the affections of the heart, rather than expecting topdown formation flowing from cognitive doctrine. The contrast is between formation and information.
Much more to ponder, much that challenges some of my practices that have attempted to put theory before practice. The epistle of John is emphatic about doing the commandment of God, of the practice of righteousness, and of the primacy of tangible love.
I’m not done with this book.
