This is an adventurous book, for children that enjoy a mystery!
The book stars three children who make it their mission to solve a mysterious crime. An unknown man is found washed up on the beach and Emily, Scott and Jack are determined to find out who he is and why he was left to drown. Through some serious detecting, they are able to identify the man as a drummer from a band who have a criminal past.
This book is great for children who enjoy crime, mystery and adventure. It is really easy to read and follow, and the three child detectives are nice characters to enjoy the story with.
I think this book would be good for upper key stage 2 children, as they will have more than likely developed a high level of reading but also hopefully an love for reading, and so could follow this story quite easily, and get quite a lot of enjoyment out of it.

Засега тази е последната преведена книжка от детективската поредица „Островът на приключенията“ и трябва да мисля за нова. Като се огледам, не е като да нямам избор, но се надявам следващата да е също толкова въздействаща и забавна. Ако питате хлапетата какво искат да четат в свободното си време, трябва да се постараете вниманието им да бъде превзето изцяло. По мое време нямаше дълги поредици и постоянно се налагаше да издирвам подходящи за мен книги. Така да се каже, сам си препоръчвах и обикновено успявах да намеря достатъчно интересни. Сега има купища, само трябва малко любопитство и читателска култура. Тук Хелън Мос е успяла да намери формулата. И „Тайната на възкръсналия от вълните“ („Фют“, 2017, с превод на Юлия Спиридонова-Юлка) притежава магията да настройва към приключения. Ако имаш усет към загадките, няма как да останеш с празни ръце, дори да си попаднал на тихо и спретнато място, където е рядкост да забележиш нещо нередно. Е, тук няма опасност да ти се налага да скучаеш.

Another great read from Helen Moss.I love the way all the stories are so different in the Adventure Island series.The clue is in the title on this one but it does have a complicated plot involving rock stars & festivals and was really enjoyable.Looking forward to the next in the series now.

I chanced upon this book at my local railway station’s book swap table (an excellent source of some most entertaining and improving books). I was on the look out for a mystery book to give to a child I am tutoring and this ticked the boxes.
Heavily borrowing from Enid Blyton’s Famous Five genre ( three kids, a dog, long school holidays, a coastal location, a mystery to solve etc) it was an enjoyable romp with the three children hauling a amnesic drowning man out of the sea and then proceeding to find out who he was and a conspiracy stretching back some forty years. Set against the backdrop of a music festival it was a story that zipped along to a satisfying conclusion with some genuinely tense moments, well crafted by the author.
Bench marking against the Famous Five I have to say I enjoy Blyton’s work more despite the dated nature of some of the plots and its frightfully-frightfully patronising tone of, in particular Julian, some of the characters.
Let’s see what the young person under my tutelage makes of it. The proof of the pudding and all that!

I really loved these books when I was younger and they are my go to series when I get nostalgic. These were reminiscent of my Enid Blyton favourites, only with a new, more exciting flair. I really fell in love with Scott and Emily’a life was my dream. Living in a lighthouse? Rockstar for a dad? Adorable dog, great friends and awesome adventures? Count me in. This book is strangely addictive and I couldn’t wait to start the next one!

A very complicated story behind it. It tells of a long lost pop star band that was in a fatal car crash. It was amazing to read. I enjoyed it.
