Want to know about ethics but short of time and unsure where to begin? Get a kickstart with this little book which will give you just enough to get you going.
The author is not a philosopher and this shows. However, he is an educator and this shows as well. The book does what it promises to do - an easy overview of ethics. It is a brief introduction but it is good. The book is full of examples and this is the part of the book where the author as an educator shines. However, these examples are not presented in a way a philosopher might do and that spoils the book somewhat. Nevertheless , the book in general is excellent as a review of ethics and may be used later as a reminder of the main points in theory if one wants to explore ethics deeper. Equally, it can be used simply as a brief overview.
This is a simple book that summarises work of all the top philosophers of the ages. It deals with moral dilemmas we deal with in daily life and applies the insights of various philosophical frameworks to solve them. This book is timeless.
