Hellin, Mo

Rate this book
The lives of five couples and the matriarch of two of these couples who live in the exclusive section of a small town in the Bootheel of south east Missouri, make for interesting reading. Small towns, unique as they may be, where the rich can do no wrong and the other citizens can do no right, are shown in how they live and die. Ambition, friendships, loves and sex compose their lives, leaving little to the imagination of the reader. The contributions they make to the community are what make the town and it's name become well known throughout the area. Family relationships are at the crux of HELLIN, MO, but the lifelong relationships between the four men are so long lasting that they would do anything for each other. How the matriarch relates to all the characters form an interesting part of the relationships, for she is a formidable woman whose life has been shaped by circumstances beyond her control.
