The 6th edition of the book "Exploring the Dimensions of human Sexuality" by Jerrold S. Greenberg, Clint E. Bruess and Sara B. Oswalt covers all bases of sexuality from psychological, physiological, biological, cultural and spiritual angles. If it was for me, I would make this book mandatory for high-school students, as it is truly educative + student friendly. Discovering our own sexuality and gender dimensions starts from a relatively young age and continues well into old age, and this book provides guidelines for a lifelong ongoing exploration. But, as controversy and acceptability of topics relating to sex and sexuality are exponentially being challenged through the years, and the majority of research in this book is based on studies made 10 or more years ago, I recommend being up-to-date with current laws, regulations and ethics as part of integrative and comprehensive learning.
It was informative, definitely, but also kind of biased and old fashioned. I enjoyed reading some of the chapters, but then towards the end I was really ready to be done with this book and this class.
