Another fine book by Gillespie, although not quite are entertaining as A Joyful Noise. Janet Gillespie had a uncanny skill at describing the mood and ambiance of an era. She is probably the best have ever read at this. A wonderful read. Highly recommended.

So far, this book's title really describes the glowing feeling you have while reading. Descriptions of a warm home and one family's traditions seen through a young child's eyes in the 1920s warm your heart.
