I was asked to give this book an honest review.

I wanted to like this book, I really did. When I was asked to review it I had very high hopes that it would be an amazing book. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't mind blowing either.

Healing My Anxiety tells the real life story of Julia Bar and how she struggled with and overcame her anxiety problems. The book is written like a diary of her day to day thoughts, actions, and ideas.

There are some typos in the book, but not enough to take away from the story. What I didn't like about it was it really read very rambly and there were lots of things that were totally irrelevant to the main story.

I am very glad that Julia seems to be happy in her current life, but her book just didn't grab me the way I'd hoped it would.

In her own words Julia shares her story of being ruled by anxiety to overcoming it and taking back control of her life. Written much like a personal journal she provides flashbacks on growing up, her brave move to Sydney, Australia, raising her daughter and searching for a partner. This powerful memoir is an inspiration for others to take back control.
