This is a really good and convenient collection of short fiction that broadly fits a theme.
It's a pocket size book which contains 18 short stories which span 5-15 pages each.
The theme of the title unifies the stories but there is a lot of variety here (there were only two stories that I thought had similar plots). Broadly speaking the stories tend to have either a sci-fi, fantasy or surreal element to them.
The authors are all new names, so it's nice to see new talent being given a go. The quality of the editing is also high. the stories were generally tight and I didn't spot any typos.
There were only 2 stories which I struggled with, which is a pretty good strike rate.
I can easily recommend this book to anyone who likes sci-fi or fantasy and who wants to read something involving new authors. It's also nice to support independent publishers.
