As seen at the 2017 Frankfurt Book Festival! 2017 Update INTERNATIONAL SECOND PLACE WINNER! 2016 Book Excellence Awards, Spirituality (sole Finalist) - Book 1 “The New Humanity” Series “Wow!” ~ Rick Doksai, senior editor, The Futurist, World Future Society “Uplifting. Inspirational.” ~ Bud Gardner, co-author Chicken Soup for the Soul “New enlightening concepts.” ~ Midwest Book Review GROUND BREAKING! - Now are the times long foretold - Humanity is on the brink of change. At this time in all of human history, we have crossed the threshold to our next evolutionary stage. HUMANITY 2.0 heralds the new paradigm and offers a unique perspective on the planetary civilization that is our destiny, how we are creating that new society individually, and humanity’s origin. Humanity’s genetic evolutionary leap is further explored in supplementary essays, which also (1) the premise that humans are a separate lineage from apes, a separate and distinct species; (2) new forecasts of our global cultural transformation, which is happening right now; and (3) true tales of instinctual urban shamanism that show you how to protect yourself and loved ones during catastrophic weather events, as Charol has done herself numerous times. No matter how things seem, no matter how much the world’s noise is like a rumble letting loose across the airwaves, no matter how much the cries and desperation of millions are like a throttling of all hope, humanity, we are in a new life, struggling to find a new sense of Purpose. This is a new awareness piercing the density of the compelling dissonance. This is a new life threading through the very breath of all the confounding voices. This century and the next, we will be seeing tremendous strides in humanity’s capacity to be more. Despite continuing global disagreements, this new millennium bodes well for us. We are in a hopeful transition of change. Although we live in a time of uncertainty, we are in a time of renewal. We have only just begun. ~ ~ ~ 2012 National Finalist USA Best Books, new age nonfiction 2012 Finalist CIPA EVVY Awards, spirituality 2002 Third Place CIPA EVVY for 1st Ed. I tend to be pretty sceptical about anything under the 'new age' and 'spirituality' brackets, but I was pleasantly surprised by this book. Charol proposes some really interesting ideas, and unlike some other authors in this area, she talks with reference to real life events and goings on - her ideas are tangible and 'real', not just abstract ideas. My one criticism would be that it got a bit repetitive at points, but overall a very worthwhile read indeed!
