A master storyteller who has appeared seven times on The New York Times bestseller list, fantasy writer Peter David joins the popular Dinotopia middle-grade adventure series with a gripping new tale. A witty young Raptor, Booj, teams up with Jason and Gwen to search for the legendary Odon, a Raptor who long ago became a recluse. To find him, the three friends must survive the dangerous traps of Odon's underground maze. No matter the challenge, they must succeed, because only Odon has the cure for the mysterious disease that has afflicted Gwen's father. It's a life-and-death journey and another thrilling story in the amazing world of Dinotopia.

This book had me on the edge of my seat, continuously snickering, and sometimes crying. My only complaint was that it was short, but that's mainly because I just want more time with the characters.
I like the Dinotopian books that challenge the whole idea behind the Dinotopia idea with this one challenging the idea of humans and dinosaurs working together and while they do not do much with it and also the Maze while built up really does live up to the build up.
Gwen feels her father doesn’t love her, but when he falls deathly ill, she will stop at nothing to find a cure—even if it involves finding a mythic healer through a dangerous maze. Fortunately, she has help. Decent read.
Loved these as a child. Beautifully imagined world, swashbuckling adventure. Multiple authors for refreshing different writing styles. Peter David was one of the better of the multiple authors.
I thought that this book was great. I love the excitement! I do recommend this book for readers who love adventure, dinosaurs, and danger in books. It has a lot of dinosaurs in the story for those dinosaur lovers. This book needs readers who understand and comfortable with switching perspectives from on character to another, who eventually come together with only one perspective narrating the text.
I read through this series of books on dinotopia as an interest in a lesson plan extension for higher elementary school grades, this was expanding the thematic unit i created for kindergarten...
