Finishing the series, I can honestly say I have no idea what's going on. I didn't fully understand the whole thing with Draven, the demons, and why Bella was the chosen one. It all felt jumbled and not clear. The series isn't bad per se. It's just hard to understand. Bella is a typical 17 year old. She's boy crazy and makes the same mistakes over and over again. I think we've all been there before. Making bad choices to impress a boy and suffering the consequences. Devan is a decent guy, or it seems like it in the end. I still don't understand the Draven storyline. The last book had so many POVs for such a short book, and it didn't help the series at all. The book is pretty, so for that, it gets a bit of a higher rating than originally planned.

I read this series as the books came out so I will review them here individually

Finding Him
Bella is representative of many girls trying to find their place in the world. They want to be liked, by boys sometimes, to the point of doing things they aren't comfortable for.

After a horrific event, Bella moves with her family to a new town, a new beginning, or that's what she hopes. She meets Daven, he seems perfect, but is she just falling into the same ole behavior she has before. She starts seeing a monster with horns and it needs help from her.

The town is weird, Daven isn't all he seems I think, and the 1000 year apocalyptic event? I guess I want to see where this goes in upcoming books.

Loving Her
Book 2 of Unleashing Hell, we meet Draven and hear more of his story. It's been 1000 years and it's time again for his family to try to find the Chosen One and have the curse broken.

Draven finds Bella, but can he convince her she's the Chosen one? What will she decide to do? Can't wait to find out in Book 3!.

Saving Them
This is what the ending we were expecting, but at the same time.... WHAT?!?!!? Great read, fast read, I was able to get it done in less than 24 hours. It was THAT good, had to sleep, do some schoolwork, but still didn't want to put it down, and got it done ASAP.

Viola Tempest has done it again with this series!!! 5 Stars, must read!.

Liked the story

This was a great trilogy that is all in one… although I will say that the main character, Bella, was a bit promiscuous. Bella and her family have to move back to California, where her parents were from after Bella had to kill her boyfriend at the time before he could kill her. She seems to attract the worst of the worst. Once she starts at her new school, she quickly attracts the attention of the most popular kid in town and son of the mayor, Daven. They very quickly fall not only into bed together but in love. But she doesn’t know that there is a demon, Draven, who has been watching her and trying to get her help to get his family out. She believes she’s going crazy when she keeps hearing and seeing him. After a big nearly Carrie moment at the school dance, she runs home and gets into bed with Draven. .

Now she is in a relationship with Draven, who starts acting more and more crazy – his attitude changes from book to book. She is part of a heritage that is able to open the gateway to the underworld.

Regardless, she ends back up with the first guy, but the overall story was actually really great. And I was a little let down about what happened to Draven, but I did like how we got more insight on what happens years down the road.

I received an ARC for my honest review!

ARC from author - NO spoilers! Complete trilogy. Young Adult Demon Romance: Fade to Black
Promiscuity, murder, serial killer, bullying. Multi POV

Loved the concept, characters, the whole structure of the story. The complete trilogy in one book is a huge bonus for me too.
Having Book 1, Finding Him, written from Bella's POV, Book 2, Loving Her from Draven's and finally Book 3 Saving Them as Multi POV was superb.
The main characters were young with paranormal influences and their behaviour, attitude and choices reflected that. Secondary adult characters well written with clear definition.

I did have a major problem relating to Daven, found his character did not stay true and lost his way half way through, lost substance.
Found the scenes flitting like a butterfly at times, lightly touching on each before moving on, would have preferred more depth as found it a little thin especially due to the serious issues the FMC suffered.
Book 1 was my favourite out of the three.

Saying all that, I liked the book, it is a quick, light read and will keep you entertained.
I won't have a problem recommending it to my friends teenage daughters who are the intended audience.

This was my first book by this author.

Have to say I struggled with the first book. The FMC drove me insane. Seriously who keeps doing the exact same thing continually. UUggghhh that alone made me want to not continue this book.

Uprooting the whole family to get to the new destination and on day one at the new school do exactly the same thing you had to move for….? seriously?

I struggled through each of these books but I can't say that I really enjoyed this series.

Demon turns up and jumps into something with him straight away. Not sure if this girl knows the meaning of the term, take things slowly.

The only highlight was Daven. He seemed like a really nice guy. The mum's were lovely as well.

Any who, ok read I guess if this is the type of book you enjoy. Me, not so much. I expected more and it never really got there.

Unleashing Hell was an okay read though it did take me awhile to get into the story it's not one that instantly caught and held my attention. I liked the overall idea of the story but did not like the MC sorry, but I just don't find it believable that an older teen would continue doing the same thing so quickly that just caused them to relocate the family. IDK she just comes across as too desperate and needy and ready to hop into bed with anyone that shows her attention, I didn't like that I think if the main female character was different this book would have been a lot better. I enjoyed this complete series. It cover Bella moving to a new town and meeting Daven. Then she finds out what is really going on and the story gets even more entertaining. I enjoyed the story as it made me laugh and wonder what would happen next. Had to see how it would end and what Bella would face. Bella was a riot and a bit crazy. And had really bad luck with guys that caused real trouble.

This book is a complete trilogy, which was very helpful to keep track of the story. The story begins with Bella making some decisions that did not end well. She and her family relocate to California to make a fresh start. That is when things started going downhill for Bella.

She began having dreams about creatures and began to question her sanity. Then she learns something about herself that changes everything…

Started off pretty slow and a little confusing but I got hooked by the story and didn’t put it down. I was definitely not expecting the story to take the twists and turns that it did. I wish the story had been a little more detailed to help the flow but overall I enjoyed the series. I’ll be checking more out from this author in the future.

What a fantastic trilogy. Gripping, exciting and one hell of a journey as we meet Bella and her family who just want a new start in the little town of Ojai. Meet a nice boy, make some new friends, settle in a wierd little town that has a 1000 year apocalyptic event due! Say what!??
It’s an entertaining series that will keep your attention throughout with some interesting and intriguing characters and a storyline filled with twists and turns and a few surprises.

While I enjoyed this fast paced steamy read I do wish I could have had a bit more in depth to the characters and found it a little short in some parts. Otherwise it was excellent and I really enjoyed reading it.
