My goddess is reborn. The mouthy peacock shifter I find is not the woman I knew. She's somehow more. More human. More lovely. More sinful. And I want her more than I ever have before. There's just one problem. She doesn't remember her past lifetimes- or that I've killed her in every single one. ** Worship Me is a spicy standalone paranormal romance set in the Immortal Vices and Virtues Universe. Every book is a guaranteed happily ever after with a satisfying ending and no cliffhangers. Perfect for fans of Immortals After Dark, Black Dagger Brotherhood, and the Demonica series. "She was built for sin and death. Wild to her very core." - Pan

Worship Me introduced me to this series, and it's also my first read by these authors: Aurelia Jane and Kel Carpenter. The Immortal Vices and Vitures is an eleven book series; Worship Me is the last book—all books are standalones (set in the same universe) and can be read in any order.

An easy-to-read, fast-paced, steamy enemies to lovers romance, I enjoyed reading Adora (FMC) and Pan's (MMC) story. I highly recommend the audiobook! Teddy Hamilton (one of my favourite male narrators) and Desiree Ketchum narrated it, and they did an excellent job! It made my reading experience even more enjoyable.

Adora is a peacock shifter and a part of the Portal Watch—Watchers who guard the portals of different realms. Her post is the Arcadia portal; she specifically requested to be stationed there. Adora loves her work and her family, yet she feels like she's searching for something, a crucial missing part of herself. Pan is a Shifter king God of Arcadia, and his realm is losing itself to madness: shifters can't shift fully, not human nor animal, causing pain and suffering. And Adora is the key to ending this madness. Now, in Arcadia, Adora is stuck with the Shifter king. Strong, handsome, elusive and a prick, Adora can't deny how she feels: she's drawn to Pan, an unexplainable connection.

"I’d smelled this before. Felt these arms. Heard this heartbeat, as it pounded steady and strong in my ears—like a bass to music only I could hear. But that wasn’t right. It couldn’t be . . . could it?" - Adora

Journeying together, Pan got to know more about Adora, therefore, he had an internal battle: Pan struggled with his decision, but he had no choice. His realm was on the line. No matter how hard she pressed for information, Adora knew Pan didn't give the whole picture. Trying to get along and not cause bodily harm to each other, the tension between Adora and Pan is palpable.

If you love spicy paranormal romances or quick reads to fit during your day or week, this one might be for you! I'll be definitely reading more books from this series in the future!

What to expect:

- Standalone (set in the same universe) in a series
- Paranormal
- Enemies to lovers
- Shifter king/God MMC
- Peacock shifter/Goddess FMC
- Reincarnation/past lives
- HEA

This book was provided by the authors in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Kel Carpenter and Aurelia Jane!

Worship Me
is a novella set in the Immortal Vices and Virtues world and tells the story of Adora and Pan. This short story was previously released as part of an anthology, and is now available as its own book.

When I first read the Worship Me novella, I really enjoyed the story and getting to know the characters. Now that the short story is revamped and published as its own book, I enjoyed it even more! We meet Adora in the first book in the Immortal Vices and Virtues series, and ever since reading about her, I wanted to know more about her. She seemed like an interesting character, and she definitely is!

Worship Me is a novella about Adora and Pan. It’s a short story that you can easily finish in one sitting, and is an added bonus to the Immortal Vices and Virtues world. Although you can probably read this short story as a standalone, I recommend reading the other books in the Immortal Vices and Virtues books, especially the first book, Reject Me.

Worship Me was another amazing addition to the Immortal Vices and Virtues series. I’m so in love with this series, the different characters and houses. Adora and Pan from Worship Me were lovely characters, I really liked their history and their happy ending. I highly recommend reading all the books in the Immortal Vices and Virtues world!

This was a fun, fast-paced fantasy read. I loved the banter between the main characters. There was some nice spice amongst the storyline. All in all, I really enjoyed this one.

Remember Adora, Danni's (from Reject Me) sister? Well, she has her own novella. Worship Me is another great addition to the Immoral Vices and Virtues series, this quick read was incredibly entertaining.

Adora is very likable. She is spunky, loyal to a fault, protective of those she loves, and fairly adventurous. However, something was missing and she finds out what in the most Adora way possible. Adora stayed true to herself with a lot of sassy, some violence, and making her opinions known. There was also an emotional aspect, Adora wanting to know her bio family and the people of Arcadia's suffering all affect Adora in different ways while allowing her to open up.

Pan is the definition of a complex character. He comes off as stoic and kind of a jerk but as time goes on you can tell he's in a lot of emotional pain and I could help but feel bad for him. Then on the other hand there's this undercurrent going on and you know he's keeping secrets. Like I said, complex but overall he isn't a bad guy the situation is just difficult and after I learn about his past my heart feels for him.

From a portal in Portland to the jungle of Arcadia, things happen pretty fast. From being attacked in the jungle by raccoon shifters that come straight out of a horror movie scene to ancient ruins with a dark past, mad gods, and detailed temples, things aren't right in Arcadia. It was interesting getting only the smallest bits about the realm but managing a full picture. I'm surprised that we got more about Adora's past than anything, enduring the shifter to me even more than she already was.

Worship Me was every I would have expected from Adora's story. It was funny, steamy, adventurous, and deadly. I enjoyed getting to know her better, hopefully, this won't be the last of the spunky peacock shifter. I would love a HEA novella with her and Danni.

I thought the snarky peacock shifter would be amazing to have as an FMC in her own story and I was so glad she was able to have one! We got the harder exterior, BA, and loyal sister in Reject Me where her sister is the FMC and in this one we get to see behind the mask and she is still a total BA hahaha.

I appreciated the spin the authors gave us, I enjoyed her vulnerability and her strength. Her humility and devastation seeing so many innocents lost to this Queen of Darkness. She wanted to take her out, not knowing she was closer than she thought haha. I enjoyed what happened at the end, won’t give it away, but it was done so well. I wish we got a full length novel and I am gonna search the internet to see if we got the scene where she brings Pan home to her family haha. I think it would be hilarious and him reacting to stuff on Earth. Also would have loved to see more from Arcadia, but I have a feeling some of the spinoffs will be back in this world that really intrigued me.

Now Pan....yummmmm and he made me giggle more than I thought he would. Their chemistry was off the charts, the snark and volleys between them was so entertaining, and the steaaaaam so good! I wish there was more, they waited for just a couple moments to showcase it haha. I thought Pan was so conflicted, I enjoyed his inner turmoil and wanting to tell her and how he realized how different Adora was to Kali. He had to think about his people and loved the glimpses of his powers (again we could have had a whole book of theirs and not a novella haha). And his possessiveness of Adora once he allowed it (and even before the end), it was 🔥🔥🔥.

Favorite of the handful I have read/listened to so far from this big shared world!

4.5☆ Adora and Pan

No matter how many times I read this novella, I always with it was longer, and yet it's also perfect as it is. I'm always a sucker for a love that spans lifetimes where they always find each other again and again no matter how many times they're pulled apart. I loved Adora in Reject Me, so I ran to have her story, and it or her didn't disappoint. I loved Pan too, his pain over finding his love again whilst also knowing he may have to again be the reason she had to leave the world again.

Adora is the last of her kind. The only remaining peacock shifter after her whole family was wiped out. She was found and raised by a wolf shifter family, and once they knew what she was, they kept that side hidden. But she'd always felt like her life was meant for more as though her life on earth was limited. She'd chosen to be part of the portal patrol but the voices that called to her through the Arcadia portal had only been getting stronger until a god like man appeared through it and took her through to the world of shifters. Pan had been sent to being her home like he was always tasked with even if doing so meant destruction to his world. But the woman he brought through was different from the woman he'd known over lifetimes, and it had him questioning everything. But when her memories returned, the path she took would determine their fate. She was the goddess of destruction, after all, and that had been the path she'd chosen every life until now.

Star rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐💫 4.5 rounded up to 5
Spice rating: 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶

💢 TW: violence & fight scenes, death (low detail, mention of historical death of children), sexual scenes (detailed, with one scene of sexual asphyxiation)

💬 My thoughts-
This book may be short, but it sure packs a  spicy punch 🥵.

Worship Me is dual POV, and swaps between Adora, a sassy and stabby peacock shifter, and Pan, the shifter god-king of Arcadia. I found the banter and sexual tension between theses two characters just delicious, and I did not want it to end!

Being a novella, I felt like some things fell into place a little too quickly, but that is my only regret.

The world-building was easy to follow, and I found the differences between Earth and Arcadia really interesting.

I loved Adora's sense of self, how confident she was, and that her whole life she seemed to follow her instincts which eventually led to Arcadia, Pan, and choosing between destruction or the righting of a wrong that had gone on for centuries.

While this would be a great standalone novella, I do recommend reading the IVV novels as a series (in order of publication), because some characters have cameos in other books, and you get a much clearer picture of the world, all the different houses, and the interplay between the different supernatural races and portal worlds.

☆ I recieved an ARC of this book from the authors. All thoughts are my own honest opinions. ☆

🌻 Main Characters - Pan & Adora
🌻 Enemies to Lovers
🌻 No cheating
🌻 Happy Ending
🌻 Trigger Warning ⚠️ : Erotic scenes (MF), Violence, and Murder
🌻 Spice: 🌶🌶🌶
🌻 Plot: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5

Adora is a peacock shifter and the adopted sister of Dannika. She worked as a Portal Watcher, but for some reason, she felt an inexplicable pull toward the portal of Arcadia. Then one day, she heard something (or someone 👀) from the portal. Of course, she went near it and someone almost grabbed her! 😱 Good thing she was able to dodge right on time. However, the one who grabbed her decided to cross the portal. And lo and behold, a handsome god named Pan appeared.

Pan is the god of Arcadia, the wild, and madness. He crossed through the portal to find Adora and bring her back to Arcadia.

Wait, did I say "bring her back?" 🤔 YES! I DID!

Adora was from Arcadia all along, with her blood and magic tied to it, even though she was physically born on Earth. She is the reincarnation of the goddess of destruction, Kali, who was created to be Pan's equal counterpart. However, Pan planned to kill her after her rebirth ritual to stop her from causing destruction and harming his people. (Will he tho? 👀)

Since it's just a novella, the story is quite short and there wasn't much conflict. The priestesses of Kali died quickly. Nevertheless, the plot is okay.

Cobra Chicken! This cracked me up and anyone who has been around Canadian Geese, this will make you laugh. On to the actual book! 😊
If you’ve read the Immortal Vices and Virtues series, we met Adora in Reject Me. You can read this as a standalone, but her background is given in more depth in Reject Me and this is her current/future life.
Adora does not understand why she is drawn to the Arcadia Portal until Pan arrives and takes her through to save his world. Pan remembers Adora’s past lives as Kali and is confused by the current incarnation. They have a rough start as a couple due to his knowledge of the past and Adora’s lack of any memories until near the end. The main theme throughout is how important love and family connections are to overall compassion and character development. This is an entertaining and fast read told from dual perspectives.

love

Am I crying at the end of this book simply because I’ve been waiting for Adora’s story since Reject Me?

Yes. Yes I am.
I loved this book. Reject Me has had my whole heart since it was released and these authors quickly became some of my favourites. I have waited and watched and followed social media accounts waiting for this series to continue (hopefully one day including Adora’s story), and I was not disappointed.

Though it all feels a little bittersweet because I love the characters from book one so much, that to see their stories come to fruition is also somewhat sad because it’s over now! Hence the tears.

I can’t wait to add this book to my shelf and read it until the pages are worn and the spine is cracked.

I love Adora

I am so glad I stuck with this book. I was worried about Kali returning and Adora being snuffed out, but I stuck through it. Adora is a peacock shifter. She’s a bada$$ who speaks her mind, hates bullies, uses snark to cover the fact she feels deeply, and she’s lonely. She’s the last of her kind, treated horribly for never shifting. Pan is a god. He’s tasked with finding Adora and bringing her to a temple in his world, Arcadia. Their journey was perilous, but also fraught with tension. Adora kept having visions, but she had no idea why. When everything was revealed, I was so worried for Adora and Pan. I loved the ending to this book, but I do wish we got more.

I never knew that I needed a peacock shifter living rent free in my head. But I did, and I love Adora! I loved how this story was put together! The world building was captivating, the romance was comforting & steamy, and the challenges were satisfying. I laughed, I cried, I shook my fist in the air and yelled at times. Getting lost in the world that Kel Carpenter & Aurelia Jane created was exactly what I needed in my life. I highly recommend this book to anyone that loves romance & magic! Thank you Kel & Aurelia! I'm officially addicted to your stories & loving every second💗 I even bought a large decorative peacock planter that I ran across yesterday purely out of love for Adoras' story💚💙

I reviewed worship Me when it was in an anthology, its had a little revamp and been released as its own book.

The added little bits (Adora's 1st chapter is spit on!) Add a little more insite and description to the story. It is still such a brilliant read.

A little novella from the immortal Vices and virtues world, absolutely hit the spot! I'm so so happy we got to follow Adora and that she gets her own sexy shifter!

It may be small but it be mighty! Loved loved loved this ❤️

I was so happy when Kel and Aurelia told us Adora would have her own story!
I loved it! It's short (but not too short); it also has the required romance and action (but not too much).
It was well written with no (noticeable) errors, and there was some heat (if that is important to you.
A delightful read, I pretty much love every book they write, but it just feels like they get better and better (happy me!).
This story was previously published in the Devour anthology and has been reworked/extended a bit.
More story? More Adora and Pan? Dont mind if I do :D

Loved Adora’s story she was such a brilliant part of Danni’s and really deserved her own. I loved the world building in the new realm of Arcadia it opened new doors to the world we have learned about so far without interrupting othered stories. Pan is hot!! Broody!! And yummy. He is definitely on my book boyfriend shelf hehe.

The story was fast pasted, action packed, had heart reaching moments as well as funny ones.. it was super hot and yummy. Worship me was just an all round brilliant read.

After reading the shortened version in the anthology, I was left wanting more. Though this was still not a full length book (which I would not mind at all for the future), it still filled that thirst just a bit. I have loved Adora ever since Reject Me and Pan, bloody hell, Pan does not disappoint. So hooked on their story and I do hope we get more of these two.
Maybe an extended epilogue of meeting the family? One can certainly hope...
Thanks for such an amazing season of stories and here is to season two being just as amazing!!!

This was such a great book! It was a novella, and I absolutely flew through it (ha, pun intended!) I was so hooked to the story and couldn't believe I finished it so soon! I never wanted it to end! I've been wanting to read Adora's story ever since I read Reject Me (her sister's, Danni's story) and to finally get to read it was just amazing. The book itself was great, a roller coaster of adventures and emotions and I loved every single second of it!

A Beautiful novella in story and presentation. So glad I read this right after Reject Me. Adora’s personality and snark was so refreshing. She is a strong, fun, independent character. Peacock shifter is a very original character type. I loved the amount of spice and story so much! I wanted this book to keep going. This is my favorite in the Immortal Mates series but Reject Me is up there close too!

Each book in the Immortal Vices and Virtues world is so unique and creative. This one is about the shifter god Pan and his intertwined fate with Adora, who is continuously reborn. I loved Adora and Pan’s story. It is a quick, captivating read and so satisfying for a side character to get a full story.

I loved every minute of Adora's story with Pan. The way she was manipulated time and time again for someone else's gain. To see her learn of her past and Pan being with her every minute. Doesn't start off 'GREAT' but hey sometimes, the best love isn't instant, am I right?

Must read, side story from the Immortal Vices and Virtues series, which I can't recommend ENOUGH!

She has no recollection of all her previous lives, but he does remember all of it. Not only have I read Worship Me once but twice, it's that fantastic because of the world, the characters, the twists and turns, the drama, the will they, won't they.

Lush read

Aww these two were so cute, i understood the confussion and anguish that PAN had to deal with every time Kali was brought back, but Adora is a force to be reckoned with and I loved how this time she was able to get a HEA instead of a murderous one because of her family and how she was raised this lifetime. A lovely read and very HOT 🔥
