I read it for class. I wanted to expand my cultural perspective by reading a book about Native Americans.

I would recommend this book to anyone looking to expand their cultural perspective. I would also recommend this book to teens as it was written for teens. The main character, Emma, narrates the story in a very relatable way.

In a classroom setting students could discuss Native American culture and do further research. The class can also talk about taking on responsibility and family duty. Another theme to discuss would be the value of education.
