The first book I loved from the first chapter, where we met River when she killed a man for revenge outside a club. Introducing her to the Kings of Chaos, who wanted answers from her for why she murdered someone outside their club. It was filled with suspense, surprise and sexual tension.
The second book, was the Kings and River trying to find a way of working together discovering more about their past.
The remaining two books began to feel repetitive and the suspense I loved in the first book was completely missing, but if you are looking for a whole lot of spice, this is for you.

Overall review of series… action & suspense- excellent, the spice- REALLY hot, the cliffhangers- crazy af! And the angst & tension was at an all time high in this book. There were parts of books 2 & 3 that I thought had too much sex & could’ve been left out w/out feeling like I was missing anything. But overall I really enjoyed this entire series. The characters were written perfectly, especially River. She was tough as s***, feisty, & was such a hellcat! She was determined to take down everyone responsible for what happened to her & her sister & she succeeded. And Gage, Priest, Knox, & Ash were pretty incredible too! These guys were beyond amazing & I loved the humor & banter between them as much as I loved the bond. They weren’t blood, but these guys were brothers who would do absolutely anything for each other. And I can’t forget one cute & very sweet little dog who after being called a dozen different names finally got a home, family & name- Harley!

Wow! I loved this book. There was so much going on and it never seemed to stop. All the cliffhangers and the loose ends but it finally came together and it couldn’t have been any better! It was so tense at times but non stop at the same time. This is the first series I’ve read by Eva and I can’t wait to check out her other books!

Wow is all I can really honestly say about this one. It was a pretty intense twisted series. One girl and four men. Men who join River in her path of revenge. Revenge that she thinks ends with one last person on her list. A list of those who helped take not just her innocence away from her but the life of her sister.
Their story starts with Gage and his Kings of Chaos brothers keeping a close watch on River by making her stay under their watchful eyes. She is set on revenge and what starts out as a possibly disastrous ending for all of them ends up being quite a beautiful twisted and yet powerful story. The twists in this whole series were shocking for me and each book brought on another layer to what started out as only one last name to be crossed off of Rivers h!tlist. This was full on 🔥 throughout the whole book so very very spicy. Lots of sharing and group acts. Key description is worshipping of the woman they all fall for.
What makes their connection great is you truly felt that River was the missing piece to the men that are called the Kings of Chaos. All five had something in them that bonded them. Gage is the leader and the man that River tested the most. Gage and her clashed lots but it was full of heat. Knox was this great mix of savage man to be feared but also had a silly and often flirtatious personality about him. Serious when he had to be and fun when he wanted. I felt he and River connected immediately with Knox recognizing how to read her and who she really was before any of the men. He knew what she needed before even she may have. Ash is the flirty man wh0r€ of the bunch. Always brings that charming and smexy with a side of silly and laid back attitude. He is also probably the sweetest and softest of the four. Priest was probably the most Leary of River at first. He is also probably the one most damaged because of love. An extremely hard exterior but him and River healed each other. They ended up have a very special bond. River understood him the most and her softness that she grew for him was very special. Their moments were some of my faves in the whole series.
It is a very long series but after each book ends to wanna keep reading. There definitely is a lot that happens and goes on. Check for Tr!ggers. Though none of the tr!ggers I felt was overly more descriptive than it needed to be.

Eva takes us on a wild ride with River and her Kings of Chaos, often with parts that are emotionally draining and hard to get through. I found the beginning of the series started out slow and ended up taking a break halfway through the second book. However, I was glad I came back to finish the series.
Likes:
- River's "tough bitch" attitude is nicely balanced with her tender relationship with Avalon (a prostitute she saves) and Dog. Watching the men interact with Dog is also a cute treat unique to this series.
- Eva sets up a smooth transition by having Ash send the Voronin brothers to kill Nikolai in his brothel (where they will end up meeting Willow at the beginning of the Filthy Wicked Psychos series).
Dislikes:
- Ashwood added in that gross trope of the FMC getting turned on and touching herself after watching one of the mmc with a different woman.
- When writers add in MMCs with previous love interests there has to be some sort of betrayal or cheating for me to be okay with it. However, with Priest, the woman he loved was killed in front of him by his enemies (something that haunts him forever). I feel like this takes away from his relationship with River because he pictured a life and kids with Jade and did not leave her by choice. River is a secondary option (a second chance), and Priest convincing himself that he "loved Jade but not like he loves River" is a cop out that seems icky and disrespectful to the love he had with Jade. For this, the series loses a star from me.
SUMMARY:
River is on a mission to kill the men that tortured and raped her and her sister (Hannah), causing Hannah's death. After killing one of these men behind the Kings of Chaos' club (Gage, Ash, Priest, Knox), they assist her in killing her last mark (Ivan). Although River's first attempt ends in accidentally killing a gang leader (Diego), they eventually kill Ivan and dump his body. River and the men attend a gala where Ivan's body is revealed on a piece of art, causing everyone to run in chaos.
Suspecting she saw Hannah at the gala, River hunts her down and learns that Hannah survived their torture and was given to a man named Julian to produce an heir for him (Cody). While River and the Kings attempt to rescue Hannah and Cody at a staged wedding between Knox and Natalie (Julian's sister), members of Diego's gang attack to avenge his death. River attempts to escape with Hannah and Cody, but Hannah steps in front of Julian's bullet meant for River. Julian grabs Cody and flees.
After eventually killing Julian and retrieving Cody, Alec is revealed (the orchestrator of using young girls as collateral) to be the one who took River and Hannah. Alec forces River to kill one of her men, which Gage takes into his own hands by using River's gun to shoot himself. The Kings and River are able to save Gage just in time once Alec leaves, and Alec forces River to join his Kyrio Society club. River and her men eventually kill Alec and the other members and they all get their HEA.

sex scenes were excessive
It seemed like every other scene in this book was a sex scene. It was always doggie style, no one has sex doggie style every time. The girl was having sex so many times a day it was ridiculous. They are great scenes to read about but became so many,it was just irritating. I started to skip the sex scenes because it was no longer tantalizing to read just disturbing.

I LOVED the series/trilogy.

What the freaking freak did I just read? 🤯
I'm not saying this book is freaked up, but I'm also not saying it's not 🙈
It's not the first series I've read by this author, but right now, it's the most freaking one 😎
The guys are all very "special", and there is so much hidden from their part.
Yes, till the end of the book, there are a few things explained, but not fully.
I mean, they are four very 🔥 guys. Young, healthy, and you know... the things that these guys in books always do/want to do... 😉 Like Ash who 🔨s everything that crosses his path. OK, everything female. But really EVERY. Gage and Knox aren't that extreme, but still very active 😎 But then there is Priest. He isn't a priest, it's his nickname because of his "behavior". He is the absolute opposite of Ash. It's that big in his mind that he can't even... Not even when he is alone. No judgment from me, just a matter of fact. So, I'm very excited to find out his whole story.
And there is so much more, I just can't write more, but wait for my next reviews...

I knew there would be a cliffhanger. It's a 4-book series, and Eva does breathtaking cliffhangers, but this, I really didn't see it coming, holy moly freakiness 😱

These four guys. They really couldn't be more different, even though they are brothers by heart. Gage is the "head". He is grumpy. He is closed.
Knox, oh, he is very SPECIAL 🙈 He loves to t0rture. Abso-freaking-lutely. He lives for it 😎 And yes, some parts are mirrored to his smex live too. He loves it rough. Loves pain, but in both ways. He loves 🩸 But all of that not TOO much, "just" much 😁
I already talked about Priest and Ash in my last review. So you already know they are the biggest opposites of each other. One 🔨s everything, and the other one can't.
I loved all four. And the MFMMM scenes 🥵🥵🥵 Yes, this book got them. So I think there will be more in the next books 🤞
One last thing, there is a running gag in the books. It's about River's dog. His name is Dog, yeah, I know... And that's the problem. Especially Knox tries to find a real name for him, and so every time he gets a new one 🙈 I'm curious if he will ever get a real name or if they will continue calling him anything and Dog 🤣

This series is really so good. It's not just all the action about the cr!m!nal activities. They really are so 🤯 I already said it in a previous review, I really admire Eva's fantasy and creativity.
It's also the 🌶️ scenes. Oh, they are so freaking 🔥🥵 I mean, there are 4 very 🔥 guys 😉 But still, if the author can't write such scenes, it doesn't matter how 🔥 the guys are, right?
I'm stopping here now, because it's difficult to say anything right now. And I just need to get to book 4! So writing more and more will keep me from reading 😎 Sorry, no sorry 🤣

I haven't read that series yet (ok, when you read this review, I have), but I'll do as soon as I finish this one 😎

Wow. Just…Wow.
I finished this a few days ago, but wanted to take some time to gather my thoughts.
Dirty Broken Savages was as beautiful as it was tragic. River was a character that spoke to me in my soul. She was raw and unapologetic. Her tragedy was so haunting, but she kept putting one foot in front of the other. Every time something was thrown at her, she faced my head on. River is definitely one of my absolute favorite FMCs. I loved her journey through the obstacles and the twists that jumped out.
This story touched so many parts of what it is to be human, and did it in such a delicate way. I went through so many emotions reading this, I can’t even begin to describe them. I definitely cried a lot.
I loved River by herself. But I also loved her with the guys. Each of them spoke to a different part of her, and filled the missing parts she hadn’t even realized she was missing. There is no River without the Kings, and no Kings without River. I’ve read a lot of RH, and there have been some where I could see the group still working without one of them. But with River and her guys, everyone was important.
With this series, Eva Ashwood has cemented herself amongst my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read her other series.
I finished this a few days ago, but wanted to take some time to gather my thoughts.
Dirty Broken Savages was as beautiful as it was tragic. River was a character that spoke to me in my soul. She was raw and unapologetic. Her tragedy was so haunting, but she kept putting one foot in front of the other. Every time something was thrown at her, she faced my head on. River is definitely one of my absolute favorite FMCs. I loved her journey through the obstacles and the twists that jumped out.
This story touched so many parts of what it is to be human, and did it in such a delicate way. I went through so many emotions reading this, I can’t even begin to describe them. I definitely cried a lot.

🚨 I DNF’d at Ch. 23 in the first book. 🚨
I am very confused by the 5 star reviews. I did the audiobook collection because it was free on audible. It’s read in dual and the narrators are not good. I could push through in regard to the FMC narrator but the MMC narrator Jesus he was awful. I hate saying that I know it’s mean but jeez. It’s an RH (no ⚔️) and he did slightly different voices for each guy (there’s 4) so it was easy to figure out who was who. But the way he read was terrible and I kept hearing him sniffle. I also found the dialogue cringy and some build up of tension between them before they all start getting it on would have been better. I love smut, the spicer the better but this was just like dropped there.
Also, the FMC was a straight up cu-next Tuesday. She was so mean to that dog lol I immediately hated her for that. 😬

I listened to this 48 hour audiobook in 6 days! There was no repetition in the four books. The first major event set off a chain reaction.
I did feel that book 2 & 3 could’ve been combined into one book but I’m sure it was broken into two books due to the length.
River is an amazing heroine! Her relationship with the King’s kept evolving throughout the series. It was never stale. Each MMC was unique.
The spicy scenes fell inline with the story. Great spice!

I listened to this series before I actually read this series on Kindle because I enjoyed listening to the story and I fell in the love with all of the main male characters and of course the female main character. I also enjoyed all of the names that River and Knox gave the dog she was feeding on the just outside her apartment. I also loved how unhinged Knox is as a character but also knew what River needed. I'm probably going to buy physical books of this series just to highlight all of the names they gave the dog before Gage deciding on the final name that dog was going to get permanently before the end of the book.

I liked this very twisty and exciting gang style story.
River and her men - Gage, Priest, Knox and Ash take on various bad guys to reach their goals. I think the last book and a half got into really long spice scenes, which for me, wasn't exactly what I wanted. I wanted a conclusion and to be fair I did get it. 😅
I did like how the characters from the other books series were intertwined with the take down plan and may read those in the future.
The narration was great, I think the male narrator was fantastic about making the different characters have their own voices! if you know what I mean! 😊

This is such a fantastic series, I absolutely loved it! The writing, characters, character development, relationship developments, flow, storytelling, and world building are all fabulous!
This series has an amazing FMC and four incredible MMC’s, who all happen to be slightly, ok maybe a bit more than slightly, unhinged! I love all of the characters and loved how their relationships developed. The storyline is unpredictable, steamy, and action packed. It a definite page turner.
I would definitely recommend this series and cannot wait for more from this terrific author!

Dirty Broken Savages and the bonus scene are both absolutely amazing! I loved this series so much, and I can not wait to reread it. There were so many ups and downs in the series, as well as all the huge challenges to fight through. I could not put this book down to do anything!! I am so thankful to Eva for all the hardwork and planning she put into the storline as it has so many hidden touches. You will absolutely love this book. I can not wait for my friend's to read this series so we can all obsess together!!

It was a read and a half (or more listen- I went the audiobook route) but worthwhile. Enjoyed it thoroughly and as per usual with RHs I did pick a favourite (priest) but I still managed to let them swap and change between the rest. It does drag in a few places but even a walk can help a racer push over the finish line.

Final book
This last book gave my heart everything it needed to heal and try to recover from this entire series. I loved the bonus epilogue as well. One thing I learned while reading about these Dirty Broken Savages, was that I hate downloading an entire series to be read as one continuous book. I should have read them all as four individual books… but lesson learned. I’ll do better next time, killer.

I am ruined 🥹
This is hands down one of my all time favorite series and having it all in one place is amazing. Eva Ashwood is so incredibly talented and tells the story of Rive, Gagale, Knox, Ash, and Priest with such beauty, depth, and eloquence.
It's filthy as all hell, of course, but my god it's absolutely phenomenal. I will love Eva forever for being ong these characters to us.

By the time I got to the last book. I was invested enough to trudge through it. Unfortunately, by that point, mentally, I had found a couple of ways the story could have ended at book 3, and I would have given it a much higher rating.
I enjoyed the characters. I enjoyed the first 3 books. The last book was tideous because the FMC really didn't need to have to fight so many dark evil men to get to her HEA 2 would have been sufficient.

This series is dark, and gut wrenching. It is twisty, with heartbreak, along with a lot of heart. It’s hard to read at times, and definitely pulled at my emotions, but I also skimmed a lot — mostly because of the OTT s3x which makes up an estimated 65 to 70% of this series. The wrap up is sweet.

This was an excellent series from beginning to end. The storyline was packed with sex, danger, intrigue and mystery about what would happen next. The author did a great job of keeping the plot going and incorporating different details to create a new vendetta. The situation with the head of the criminal circuit was wild. Never put that relationship together but it makes sense after learning about her mother. I wish her sister was able to play a larger part, but her ending was fitting.

3⭐️ for the story but 5🌶️ for the spice bumps it up a star 😂 what can I say, I am an absolute sucker for reverse harem. Loved River’s relationship with all her men, especially Priest 🥰 And the story was fun there were just a lot of “oh come on, really??” points.

I listened to all 4 books in a row and it was probably a mistake. Books 2 and 3 felt repetitive and if I hear “River, you’re so damn tight” I might scream shut up again!
While I liked the characters and most of the story sometimes the story felt clunky and like a first draft kind of gangster story. The spice is definitely spicy but it got old after a while. I like that everyone KNOWS River is THE bad a$$ from start to finish!

Wow! This was a long read, and could drag on in some parts, but the twists and turns, the crime and violence, the strong love and the spice keeps you going and making you read more.
I loved how much River was drawn to looking after the people she loved so fiercely and I love how the kings men were able to show her a different type of love and vice versa.

River sucks you in with her Warrior Mentality and her Mission. The Kings are the perfectly imperfect in their own unique ways. With the combination of the characters determination to protect their "family" and to serve "justice" to all who have wronged them without hurting innocents in their cross fire!!
