Katelyn LandersI loved this this the 2nd in the Katelyn Landers series but an excellent stand alone as well, can't wait for Changing Sands

Kate is Rachel's handler who is a top notch scientist working on a secret weapon for America 🇺🇸 but she's in protection and away from all she loves week that will be Tanner, her Fiancée until the powers that be faked her death. This is another series with strong links to Loblolly which if your a lover of Veronica Mixons books you will be familiar with. I love her books and genuinely believe her to be an excellent author far better then good.

The characters are awesome and the storyline superb with great twist you won't see coming there lots of action and suspense.
And right at the end of the book, don't worry no spoilers there is a HEA in that there is a 3rd book on the way "Changing Sands". Lives are at stake and the team need to act fast but Rachel is also trying to save lives so not the enemy but that doesn't mean she makes life easy for Kate and the team.

I can't recommend this book highly enough and feel you will definitely not regret getting it I think it's excellent hence the title of my review I hope you agree.

Interesting series and characters

I am invested in seeing where the main characters' journeys take them. However a couple of curious edit-fails stuck with me as distractions through the book.
Early on we're told the scientist's lab is located at Boston College, then switches to Boston University for the remainder of the story. BC & BU are two very different academic institutions whose only similarity is that they are both in Boston.
And where as Erica, a character from book one who you could realistically expect to meet again in book two? Vanished. However, we meet Jolene, whom it seems we are expected to know.
There does appear to be another series by the author, that is set in the small town of Loblolly, and looks as if it runs concurrently. Perhaps the two series could be integrated?

I Never was able to connect with Rachel's character. She had listed a number of sociopathic tendencies and I really think she hit on all of them. I was So glad she and Tanner ended the way they did. I liked Kate a LITTLE more in this one than Book 1. However, bringing Joellen into the story was a bit of a startle. She was not in Book 1 and the discussions and comparisons to other cases really made me feel like I had missed a book (or 2) between Book 1 and 2 in this series. Another reviewer said Joellen had a series also which I guess just overlapped into this one. I liked Joellen and her husband much more than Kate, so maybe I'll check out that series instead.

Another great mystery

This book by Veronica Mixon is even better then her first in this series. She brings good characters and lots of twists and turns. This book covers the story of Rachel, a research scientist who has a secret lab but no life. Rachel uses lessons her father, a CIA operative, taught her to flee her lab. She uses her wit and training to stay ahead of the Marshal's service, headed by Nathan and Kate, and those trying to get her and her secrets. Can Rachel stay ahead of everyone searching for her? Can she get away and start a new life?

Changing Winds is the next installment of the Katelyn Landers stories and brings back many familiar faces from Loblolly. In part continuing the story and breaking new ground. I love Ms Mixon's characters and wish I could meet them in the real world. Being able to read her books is like visiting with friends who lead a much more exciting life than I do. I eagerly await the next one.

Changing Winds

I have been spellbound by everything I have read by this author. She is one of my favorite mystery writers. Until I accidentally ordered one of her books I wasn’t even fond of mysteries. I look forward to reading her next book
