Does Adele Parks write a bad book - No. I could easily reread this one, brilliant.

This book was tedious. It read like a comedy of errors and it was soooooo long. I read it just to end it. Real Chick Lit but with a bit of been there done that.

A good (however predictable) short story tied up in long, boring descriptive writing! Parks repeated how each character 'felt' from everyones point of view and killed the juicy bits with needless commentary. I actually paused reading the book after the first few chapters but had to finish it due to my 'once started cannot be stopped rule'. Are all of Parks' books like this one?

I do feel bad giving this a 2 stars but oh my days did this book go on and on!! I love Adele Parks but this was not her best book. I don’t think I would recommend it! Also the ending, really?!?

Well it is what it is, chick lit holiday trash which is light reading. I flew through this book and it was ok, I was intrigued enough to read it to the end as I wanted to see what would happen in the end but as with all these type of books, it's designed to relate to the girlish wish for finding that one special person. It's not a challenging or thought provoking read but then I never thought it would be

This one was a little to clustered for me. Too many characters and a little too long. Took me awhile to get into this one

This book is hilariously stupid. I read it, rather stuck with it, because I didn't want to leave a story halfway. The plot is loose, the characters, although explored, leave no impact on mind or heart. Half of the stories of the characters are left midway, there is no way of knowing what happened to Ted and Kate, or Mia and Jason. The writer is not adept in making people ponder, or rather she misunderstood the entire concept of "lingering tales". The character of Rich is extremely tedious, and to think that a person working in solution marketing would be so dumb, makes me question his authenticity at work place. A 33 year old man doesn't understand whether he should tell his fiance about a very important detail of his love life. The story will make you feel extremely brainless at certain points. It's like, Rich doesn't know how to take care of anything apart from sleeping around. Tash is a likeable character, but weak and all she does is idolize her boyfriend. The ending is so sudden, and so expected, that if you would just skip the entire last chapter probably, just reading the last line would tell you that they reconcile at the end. I wasted my time and money on such a book that does nothing to justify anything. It's a pathetic book.

Like a lot of people who have reviews this book I was a little put off by the size of it. It has sat on my bookshelf for probably a year and I just haven’t managed to work myself up to reading it.
It’s a typical chic lit and definitely one for reading on your holidays whether that be in the sun or like the book at a ski resort.
It took me a while to get into it but I soon warmed to the characters and really cared about what happened to them, apart from Jayne who really annoyed me.
The book is a very easy read with simple language which is easy to follow. It could definitely be a great gateway book for someone who hasn’t read a-lot in the past. Not my favourite Adele Parks but a solid and interesting storyline.

Well, I hadn’t read a book this long for a long time, and I’m glad I did. It was a very enjoyable and entertaining book with smatterings of sex in it. It was good to see how all the couple’s relationships turned out from the thrill of the chase to the capture. It made one think and question our own marriages and how we rate them. Jayne and Mia sound like sexy little minxes!!! They were both very seductive in their ways. I would definitely recommend this book to avid readers of chick lit because it’s very good.

This was a much better book for me than the last one of hers that I read that depressed me. This could have been a lot shorter than the 560 pages it was but I did enjoy it. You'll have read the other reviews so I'm not going deeply into the story. I liked reading about the groups dynamics and how a new person would fit into a group that bonded in university 13 years ago. Yes there were elements of jealousy and simply not liking the new girl for various reasons but all that one would expect in real life.
I liked reading what happened and was happening to various people and enjoyed the narrative being written from all their various points of views at times.
The ending was good as we never had a definitive tale of what happened next. Did Ted get a job? Was Jayne black balled by everyone? What would happen when Rich goes back to work and Jayne is in his department? However I quite like an open ending.
A good and lengthy read, but length of book for me is not off putting if the storyline trots along at a decent speed and this one did. Yes, enjoyable.

My first read of February and I’m feeling lighter after a January being filled of thrillers/crime novels
A girlie book definitely more for a summer holiday book. Reading by the pool sun on your back (eve though the characters are skiing in France)
Lots of characters and lots of twists and turns. Lots of people to like and dislike.
I enjoyed all the links starting deceptively and finishing honestly.

A group of uni friends together again. Will it be happy families or broken hearts?

Not an impressive storyline.
Quite slow, long and predictable.
Only builds up in the last 100 pgs.
It typically illustrates that no matter how close friends are, untold stories still remain between them.
Factually every individual has a skeleton in their closet and
some secrets run so deep that they not even revealed at death.
One shudders to think that spending a life time together but never really knowing the person.....sinks you to depths unknown.

Didn't enjoy this book at all - frivolous in all the wrong way - spoilt rich young-adults, entitled, wasting money and over-obsessed with themselves. Self-obsessed storyline, coarse language and description of sex acts - all wrong in the context of the usual writing of Adele Parks. If I'd read this first, I'd have never read another of her more recent much better books.
Scan-read the last 20 pages to just get to the implausible end.

Adele's books I usually find quite slow in the beginning but that is purely because of the character building. This book was no different. I think the setting in which you read this book matters. I could see this being boring if I was reading after work or on a lunch break etc.. But I read this while on a nice relaxing holiday so I found it quite enjoyable.

Normally sci-fi, fantasy and cyber park are my jam.
Tried this on a whim. The plot was a bit predictable and the characters felt like stereotypes.
Still an enjoyable enough way to pass a few hours.

Great novel that encompasses all types of entertainment throughout, from cheating to jealousy, love and lies to true love. This novel from Adele Parks has it all, along with the strong characters to back it up. A really good book.

Could not get into it at all; formulaic characters with no one engaging enough to keep me interested. Well done to the people who kept going until the end.

Loved it but it just dragged on for what felt like forever. I ended up finishing it just for the purpose of knowing that I finished it. So hard to stay interested in it as it was soooo repetitive
