Toe Jam is a picture book designed for children to explore the concept of counting through familiar objects which take on new life and "movement" with the addition of feet. In Toe Jam, the child can connect with the feet as an extension of self and with everyday objects as part of his or her environment, enticing the child to explore both story and concept of counting with heightened interest. The author uses vivid imagery and rhythmic text to create a unique read-aloud book for both home and classroom.
