4 Sweet Romance Stars

This is my first Melody Anne book and I did the audio version. I skipped around the series and let’s just say it’s because I am a sucker for single mothers.

Emily is a single mom and looking for work. She lands a job at a ranch as a cook. She’s on the run and we do not know why.

She gets the job through Joseph, but she soon realizes her boss is the son, Mark. Mark is very attracted to Emily.

I love the summary of the book and it was a sweet, feel-good novel, perfect to listen to. I really enjoyed the female narrator. She sounds like a mom, but not too young. Her pace was perfect and the length of the book worked for me too.

I enjoyed the beginning the most because it totally set the story up and it was adorable when Emily finds out who Mark is. I love how Mark pursued Emily and it didn’t matter that she had a son. I also loved the little boy as well. Mark’s family takes Emily in as one of their own and it’s like a said sweet to listen to.
As you progress more in the story, bits of Emily past are revealed and we find out why she is on the run. As her past comes to threaten her stay at the ranch, super alpha male, Mark steps in to save her. I love me my damsel in distress.

A very sweet novel and it won’t be my last from Melody Anne.

I am officially done trying to get through this series. It is the same crap in each book.

I had hopes that Mark was going to be different from his brothers, and in the note from the author she eluded to that fact. While he isn't as heavy handed as both Lucas and Alex were, he was still to reserved and reluctant to share his love with Emily.

I found Emily to be very one dimensional. She didn't grow through the book, and even in the end she was still very much the same character as the one we met in the diner.

Joseph's preoccupation with matchmaking the perfect women with his sons is totally unbelievable. How is it that he magically finds the perfect woman each and every time? And what happened to Jacob? I think he was only mentioned once in the whole book, and wasn't even mentioned in the rundown of all the kids at the end of the book. It's like he was forgotten, and I find it hard to believe that he wouldn't have been close friends with Trevor.

These books would be much more enjoyable if there was growth in the characters, other than the same struggles that they seem to go through. I just don't think that each of the girls would feel exactly the same way, not good enough and like they would be dropped once something was started. Yes, maybe in the beginning, but not after months of complete devotion from the man that they chose to be with. It doesn't make sense that the boys would be so anti-marriage when their parents are still so obviously in love.

If I could give this book 1 1/2 stars I would, because it did have a few moments of genuine believability, they were far and few between.

I was wrong thinking Mark would be the hardest to fall. Mark fell hard and quick which was a delight to see. Emily fought it at first but just to protect her job and son. When they gave in it because lovely. They are the only ones to do it right with "First comes Love, Than comes Marriage, Last comes a baby in a baby carriage." Mark loved Emily's son from the beginning and treated him like his own. Trevor and Emily became so widely accepted immediately into the family even though she was only the cook. Mark was not afraid to show his feelings for Emily and Trevor. I loved Jasmine in the book and her honesty calling Trevor her cousin and Emily her Aunt before all that happened. I was wondering when the stalker as to be addressed. It ended wonderfully and I cant wait to explore Joseph's brother and his meddling in his children lives.

MMMMM... MARK ANDERSON... HOLY HOT!!

Book #3 - Mark and Emily's story

Ok... I was totally rooting for them from the beginning... I was a little skeptical about him and her at the very beginning, but it passed. Those Anderson brothers really jumped in and helped give the pushes Mark needed.

I'm not sure why we had the stalker thing going on... especially since it wasn't anyone involved in the story... which it really should have been... like someone from her in-laws family or something... not some dude from the grocery story... but oh well.. it did throw a little excitement and action into the story!!

I think this story was a little more easy going than the first two only because Mark was being set up by not only his Dad, but Brother's too. AND with the brothers already married and having kids... that helped out Emily to be able to cope with the whole situation a little better...

All in all, it was a good read, not my favorite in the series... but good!

This book was much better than expected. I thought it would be like the other two; the billionaire beds the girl, she gets pregnant, they get married for the sake of their child and then fall in love. "The Billionaire Falls" is much different. Emily is escaping her deceased ex-husbands parents with her son Trevor and falls into the arms of Joseph Anderson who offers her a job as a cook for his youngest son, Mark. Emily happily agrees and when Mark first lays eyes on her, the attraction begins. They begin their love romances but a series of unfortunate events come in the way, like stalkers and her ex-husbands parents. However heir love blossoms and the pair get married and have another child. I have really enjoyed this series and genre of books. Authors like Melody Anne, Bernadette Marie and Ruth Cardello have transported me into another world full of love laughter and sadness and hope to read many more novels just like them.

I loved the first two "billionaire" books and was anxious to read this one. I enjoyed this one just as much as the other two.

My only complaint was that the main female character's name is Emily. At the end of book 2, Alex & Jessica had a new baby girl, named Emily. While I realize that this happens some times in real families, for a book it was a little confusing. There are so many other names, why didn't the author choose to name one of them something different?

While that certainly didn't make me dislike the entire book, it did frustrate me. The two Emilys weren't in very many scenes together so it wasn't all that confusing, but was just a little something that bothered me.

Some times I wonder why editors don't pick up on that kind of thing? :-)

This review is from: The Billionaire Falls (Billionaire Bachelors - Book 3) (Kindle Edition) RE READ ON MAY 20th 2020 After re reading I have changed by rating to 4 stars. I like the story much better after the 2nd read!
The Billionaire Falls was a bit of a disappointment. I never complain about this in my reviews, but this book was sorely in need of an editor. Melody Anne didn't bother to write a story that made any sense and that flowed. Mark is a billionaire in his own right and he is the younger son of the billionaire Joseph Anderson. Joseph has matched his other two sons Lucas and Alex with there wives and now it Marks turn. He matches Mark with a young widow who is on the run with her 5yr. old son. Her in laws want to take custody of Trevor away from her and they have a court order She refers to them as ex in laws. She didn't divorce her husband before he died in a auto accident so why refer to them as EX. It was just a poor choice of language. She also refers to her deceased husband as EX instead of deceased. Joseph and his family show up repeatedly in the story but where is Catherine the mother. She is mention 2 times in the entire story. She didn't even have any kind of banter in the story with Emily. She was present in bk1 and 2 and spent time with Amy and Jessica her daughter in laws. Then there is this stalker that comes from nowhere and kidnaps Emily. Mark and his hands find her very quickly before any harm can come to her. The scenario with the in laws or Trevor's grandparents and the Stalker were just poorly written. I guess it was too add drama to the story but It failed, This was not a well written story in either scenarios. I did like Emily's character, but it was unbelievable that she was married to a rich man and had never been to a spa. Mark was great with Emily and Trevor and I like his character. I don't think we even know Emily's dead husband's name. This story was just poorly done. I am glad it was Free!! Don't Pay for this Book. It is not worth it.

I REALLY wanted to rate this higher, but due to the misspellings and less-than-stellar grammer I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I enjoyed the story line, but I think the author had too many sub-plots going and didn't do much to play them up. It was like being on a rollercoaster with a thrill-factor of 1. The anticipation was there but in the end I wondered why I bothered. It was just...flat. I fell in love with the characters none the less!

I know my grammar isn't perfect, but when the author refers to characters as 'maid of honors' and 'sister-in-laws' I knew I was reading something that was poorly, if at all, edited by someone who had any business editing or proofing.

Most of the misspellings were more disappointing than 'bad'. For example, at one point the heroine 'left the room with her son in toe' instead of 'tow'. I also had to re-read several sentences because of the way it was worded; poor sentence structure that shouldn't have gone to print.

I've now read the three books in this trilogy, and know there are more books from the author that are related to the characters in this series. However, I think I will skip them in favor of other authors.

Emily and Mark Book #3 of the Billionaire Bachelor Series was so good. Joseph had decided that he is going to make sure that his children find love even if they don't want to. This book has a different spin then the first two books. Emily is hiding from her late husbands parents who want to take her son from her. She answers an ad for a cook at Marks ranch and Joseph hires her on the spot. I have to say that I do like that this couple did it right....fall in love, get married and the have a baby....plus he adopts her son. Melody Anne incorporates the whole Anderson family even the ones that are in later books, she draws you in to the family and you feel like you are right there. Plus the love that Joseph and his wife Katherine has for each other is so obvious that there kids should want to find the same love. I was laughing, crying and yelling at the book. My family must have thought that I was crazy.

I can't wait to read the next book.

3 Estrellas!

Another great read from Melody Anne.

Mark has a ranch and is yet another one of the brothers that wants to keep his bachelor status. His father has other ideas when he hires Emily to be his new cook at the ranch. Instant attraction explodes between the two and Mark loves Emily's little boy from a previous relationship. Will this be another happy ever after?

I loved that even in this book the other brothers and the family still play a huge part throughout the series, and this is a different read to the other two titles as Emily already has a child and a past regarding her child which is yet to be discovered by Mark and his family.

Great writing and connection between the two leads as usual and I can't wait to start the next book about Trenton, Mark's cousin.

This was the third book by Melody Anne in the Billionaire series and it was fantastic.. I have to say I loved Mark more than any of other brothers because he was genuinely caring..loving.. and above all sexy..the affection he had for Emily's son was wonderful..It was filled with beautiful love..compassion.. and drama that really kept me on edge of my seat... Just when you think everything is going to be ok and the happy ever after..it had a great twist! You have to read this awesome series!!!

What kind of cook/housekeeper doesn't know the boss' bedroom is next door to her bedroom, especially after a month??? What kind of writer and editor and proofreader doesn't catch something like that??? I realize that it was probably a plot device but it is one that makes the heroine unbelievable.

I did finish the book.

The Billionaire Falls: Billionaire Bachelors Book 3 is by Melody Anne. The book is definitely following the pattern set in book 1 which might put some people off; but it doesn’t me. I am intrigued to see how Melody Anne will make each book different and even exciting. Knowing that the main characters will end up together makes it easy reading when you do not want something that will keep you up all night for the suspense.
Emily was on the run with her son, Trevor. Oh, she had total custody of her son since her husband’s death; but her husband’s parents were threatening to take Trevor away from her. Since she had been left with nothing after her husband’s death, she knew she couldn’t fight them in court especially since they were such good friends with the judge. So, she took Trevor and headed north. She stopped in Fall City, Washington because her car gave out. She was lucky enough to secure an interview with Joseph Anderson for a cook’s position. She just hoped having Trevor wouldn’t nix the deal. It didn’t and Joseph hired her as cook for Three Sons Ranch. It was only when they arrived at the ranch that he told her she would be working for his son. She would fix the meals for the ranch hands as well as his son. She was elated as she loved to cook. Now if Joseph’s son would accept her and Trevor.
Mark Anderson had not been interested in marrying any more than his brothers had been. However, since they were happily married to two wonderful women and both now had children, he had been feeling a little lonely and began thinking he might want what they had. But, he wasn’t in a hurry and he had seen the machinations of his Father and didn’t trust him at all. When he met Emily and Trevor and he had eaten her cooking, he decided they were a good fit for the ranch and accepted it. He wasn’t immune to her beauty, inside and out though. After meeting Emily, his brothers knew it was all over for Mark.

This book is part of the Billionaire Bachelors series. I read this book out of order from the series, and the book was so well written it didn’t matter. I do love this series, and all the books can be read alone, or out of order. I never got confused, or lost in the story.

Joseph Anderson has captured my heart in this series of books. He has a heart of gold. He loves his family, and wants lots and lots of grandkids. To get those grandkids that he wants so bad, he has been playing match maker for his adult sons.

Mark runs a ranch, and had to go out of town. He ask his dad Joseph to hire him a new cook while he is gone. Joseph wasn’t concerned about the person’s employment record, or how good they could cook. He was out to find the perfect bride to be for his son. When he interviewed Emily, and found out she had a young son, he just knew he had to hire her. When Mark came home and meets his cook, and her son for the first time there was an instant attraction. Emily knows she can’t afford to have an affair with her boss. This job means too much to her. She has to have a job to support her son. She does try to fight against the attraction until sparks fly, and passion over takes them. The chemistry was red hot between them. I loved how Mark always played and had fun with Emily’s son. He never seemed to mind just spending time with him. I also loved the way he treated Emily with tenderness and love. He was also very protective of Emily, and her son. I loved this book, and this series!

What a great story by Melody Anne. This is the third book in the Billionaire Bachelors series. Mark is the youngest of the Andersons and even though he loves being a single guy; he has watched his brothers fall madly in love with amazing women and be blessed with wonderful children. Mark feels a longing every time he thinks about what he is missing out on. Yet he refuses to fall to his father's matchmaking games.

When Joseph hires Emily to work at Mark's ranch as the new cook. Mark is suspicious because she is young and beautiful. He is instantly attracted to her her. Even better that she bring her 5 year old son along with her because Mark adores kids and can't wait to have his own!

Emily's despicable husband died and his parent who never wanted anything to do with her or her son, now threaten to take him away from her. She can't risk losing her baby boy. Her luck turns when she meets Joseph Anderson and applies for a job as a cook at a local ranch. Emily never would have thought she could be so lucky as to find a place for her and Trevor to call home; let a lone a spectacular family that will always be there for her and her son!

What an amazing read. This book is filled with love, mystery, suspense and lots hot thigh clenching moments between our main characters!

Joseph Anderson is on a roll with finding brides for his two eldest sons. Now it's Mark's turn.

Mark has a billion dollar ranch operation that takes many employees to run successfully. He loses his cook and leaves it to his father to find a new one. Little does Mark know that Joseph is far more interested in her marriage potential than her cooking skills. Luckily he finds a woman who can cook and will make the perfect bride for his son.

Emily Jackson is on the run from people who want to take her five year old son from her. She ends up in a small town in Washington and is excited to find an ad in the paper for a live in cook. When she starts work at the beautiful ranch, sparks fly with her new boss who is sexier than any cowboy has the right to be. She does not want to risk having an affair with her boss and losing her job so she will fight the attraction until passion overcomes them both.

Mark falls hard and fast but he doesn't fight as hard as his brothers did. Instead Emily is the one to fight her feelings. Loved this book and wondering who Joseph is going to do when he gets all his sons married off?

Done! I couldn't finish this book. I tried to ignore all the things that were wrong, but couldn't do it anymore. I got about halfway through. For as many books as Melody has out, I would expect better writing from her. It was like it was her first book and she had no clue what she was doing. The formatting needs some help, the editing is wrong in so many aspects, and there's so much head-hopping you can't follow the story without confusion. Jeez was spelled Geese. Geese! Really? And tough was spelled tuff. Come on. Plus there was a spot where the wrong name was used. I can overlook some typos and a few editing issues, but when commas are forgotten consistently, among other things... Yep, I can't take it anymore. And that was just the technical aspects. Don't get me started on the actually story.

Not trying to be a bitch, but take a writing class, read some other people's books, and please, please, please, get a good editor.

This is so different to the first two books in love that the third son of Joseph Mark was wanting to find a woman of his own but was hoping with the help of his dad. But as we know Joseph too well from the first two books he was going to hand him a woman... but she has a bad past and she is on the run with her son. She finds an advert for a cook at Mark's ranch and she wanted this job but she wasn't thinking of falling in love with him.
She even flirted with other guy and one guy took it too far and was stalking her and put her life in danger but she marries Mark because they like each other and the fact her ex husband (dead) parents want to take her son away from her and found out where she was, she was to go to court but she thought she was losing her son but Mark helped her keeping her son. He loves her son as if it was his own son.

I liked the plot and characters. BUT HAD TO SKIP MANY, many PAGES because of explicit descriptions of their bedroom activities. I WANT TO USE MY IMAGINATION! I DON'T WANT EVERYTHING SPELLED OUT IN GREAT DETAIL!!!! If I had know, I would never have started the book. But I was involved in the main character's story long before the offensive stuff started. So I decided to skip and discover the conflict resolution. But never again and none of the other books in the series, which is sad because the characters are so likable. So WARNING: explicit, steamy scenes are included.

Book 3 I couldn't resist. Mark the youngest Anderson and confirmed bachelor runs a ranch. He loves his brothers and their growing families. I love that he has such a soft spot for his first niece Jasmine.
Emily Jackson has a few secrets in her past and a five year old son. She is hired by Mark's dad Joseph to be the cook on the ranch. She moves into the house and into the Anderson's lives.
I like how this romance grows between Mark and Emily but also her son Trevor. It is rather endearing how Melody has written this male lead so well.
I loved this story a lot.

Joseph is up to no good again. Trying to find a bride for his youngest son, Mark, now. Mark needs a cook and asks his father to find one. So you know Joseph has to find a beautiful woman and the fact that she has a son made it better because he wants lots of grandchildren. Emily is running away from her past and finds herself taking this job as a cook. Mark and Emily falls for each other at first site. They make some good lovin'. This a HEA. Great story line. Great characters. Great reads.

This is a spicier version of an mid 90's avon read. Perfectly light and airy for a spring read. While everything was just fine, I wasn't understanding the long beleaguered ending till I forgot about the third subplot never having a resolution... without spoilers, the ending wasn't as action filled as I was hoping for.

I recommend to those aunties who need to step up the spice in their harlequin game.

This book is exactly what you would expect from the synopsis and as long as that is all you want out of it, you will enjoy this story. It is not a grand epic tale that you will reread over and over but it is a cute, quick read. Complete with sappy love and unrealistic instant love. All you have to do is accept it and enjoy the story.

This was a fun and easy read and I really enjoyed it.! The characters in the Anderson family are very easy to like and the brothers so easy to fall in love with. The fact that they take care of their own and stick together as a family totally won me over.
I would definitely want to meet people like this family

I will have to read books 1&2 as this was book 3.
