This book was amazing and had me gripped from the first page to the last. I could not put this book down. It is an outstanding read which delves into the most unimaginable child abuse you can think of. You can't help but feel for Annie and the abuse she suffers at the hands of her mother Jill. This is a gripping book that you will not put down, One word of warning make sure you have both parts of the book before you start to read it. You will not want to stop when volume one ends. I read both of the books in 2 days and have to say I was not disappointed. Annie is a wonderful character that you want to just reach into the book and protect. Jill is an evil self-centered woman that you want to see pay for every injustice she does to her daughter. I will not give away any of the book by saying what happens but it was a very good read and will have you in tears in some parts and other parts you will smile for Annie...Great book Highly recommend
This sequel was much better written than the first volume, but it still needs some good editing. As others have done, I read it simply to find out what happened to Annie after the first book. I just wish they had both been well written so I could be comfortable recommending them to others. As they are now, I wouldn't do that.
This is one of those books when the sequel should not have been written. This text deals with the daughter growing to a young woman and facing the mistreatments and abuse from her mother. I loved the first book, but the stilted dialogue and rapid changes are just too unrealistic. My suggestion is to read Volume One and ignore the second volume.
The writing in this sequel wax much better than the first book although there was still loads of room for improvement. Again the story was good but I would not waste time reading another of this author's books.
So, another book I couldn't put down!! I loved them both!! I thought that this book written better than the first and there seemed to be more editing done this time around.
I finish this book with a very sad feeling in my gut. It ends very well.. the author did a great job. But you definitely feel for the little girl in this book. Easy Read.
