Nineteen year old Michael Talbot was an ordinary college student when the Progerians came and forced him to fight for his life.  Now, almost two years later, he has escaped and made his way back to Earth. Although he may be done with the Arena, he isn't out of the fight.  War is coming and nobody knows the enemy better than Michael Talbot.

Knowledge alone won't be enough to fight the Progerians though.  Mike's going to need an army.  Ever since Mike's disappearance and presumed death, his college roommate Paul has been working to build, train and equipt a fighting force capable of taking on anything.

Individually, Paul Ginson and Michael Talbot are forces to be reckoned with.  Reunited they are a match made in Progerian Hell. *Zombie Fallout*Zombie Fallout 2 A Plague Upon Your Family*Zombie Fallout 3 The End*Zombie Fallout 3.5 Dr. Hugh Mann*Zombie Fallout 4 The End Has Come and Gone*Zombie Fallout 5 Alive In A Dead World*Zombie Fallout 6 'Til Death Do Us Part*The Book Of Riley 1*The Book Of Riley 2*Indian Hill Encounters*Indian Hill Reckoning*Indian Hill Conquest*The Spirit Clearing*Callis Rose*Timothy*Tim2*Lycan Fallout Rise Of The Werewolf

This is Sci-fi with splashes of horror. I liked the first book in this series. It was a little more violent. This book is the second in the series. I enjoyed this one too....not as much as the first one, but the plot felt much more thought out with this second installment.

I liked the voice of the MC and his knack for getting out of sticky situations. I also liked the pace. It was always in constant motion as it toggled between POVs. What I enjoyed the most was that this is so different from anything I've read before. I like when that happens.

Unfortunately, there were a few packets of Insta-love opened and liberally sprinkled throughout this one. It was a little too much for my liking.....it felt like male fantasy. Not a deal breaker, but still annoying. However, overall, this made a boring day move faster, and I've already started the third in the series.

This started a tad slow for me...but 2hrs in I was super hooked! I love love love Mark's writing...listening to his books being read by Sean are like visiting with an old familiar friend...I know what to expect..but am pleasantly surprised sometimes...I laugh, I cry, I scream out loud...sometimes I just shake my head and smile..This was a great installment and I am moving on to the 3rd one...I have been marathoning Tufo's book all month...I just cant get enough....lol I do need to say...Paul...pissed me off...I just really dont like Beth...I dont see what Mike sees in her....and I am so glad Mike is ok...that is all....2 thumbs up!!!

nd listen...I still think Paul is a douche...and even though Beth is not a perfect person...on this 2nd listen I did see a little good in her...she was a good friend to Deb...but I know as the books go on she is a total c u next tuesday....lol On to book 3!

Read the series from 1-3, straight through and all I can say is fantastic. I am not a big SF fan but as it shares the same main character as in ZF series I felt I had to give it a go. Similar style as ZF but with a twist and vibe that makes the reading of this series a joy and fresh in the post-apocalyptic genre. I wish that when it all ends Mark Tufo finds a way to link it all together. Here is my idea, ZF happens but at the end a time machine sends an assassin back to take out the main baddie, once she has been killed the time line resets and Indian Hills starts with the aliens alerted by the temporal riff (am I a geek or what?).

WOW! I LOVE Mark Tufo!! His writing is amazing. He literally makes me gasp and laugh out loud! He is my all time favorite author now. Whether it's aliens, animals fighting zombies, or zombie apocalypse he is the best! This series is another incredibly well written story that has you rooting out loud for Michael Talbot. Even if it's not the Michael Talbot you already love, you will love him also. Well done Mark!

In book 2 we get a closer look at this Universe's version of the Talbot clan, the situation on Earth beyond the USA and we get to further understand Beth and what kind of person she is. It's a fun and sometimes scary romp that like all of Tufo's book will take you for a ride and is over far too soon.

Short review because some things about the book irked me though I still really enjoyed the read. One thing was the lack of Mike being involved in the pace like the previous book. On top of this there were just some parts I felt totally unnecessary like a part in regards to Beth.

There was a lot I liked about this book. Lots of fun action, tension, and surprises. After the first in this series I didn’t think I’d listen to it any further, but I was going through some Mike withdrawals (loved the Zombie and Lycan books) so decided to pick this up again. I didn’t enjoy the first book because of how the heroic men (aka Mike) had to save the women and the women served as his sex ladies. Just absurd. I did enjoy this book quite a bit more, but that’s because the women aren’t in every chapter. But when they were, agh!!!! Wanted to pull out my hair. They were absolute twits how made one bad decision after another. And if I recall correctly from the first book, Deb was the “capable” woman who kept the house running and was there to support the other ladies. She showed none of this strength in this book. Mr. Tufo does a horrible job writing women characters. He just needs to leave them out completely.
I’m guessing I’ll listen to the next in the series at some point. I want to know what happens with the guys at Indian Hill, how Mike overcomes the next fight, and the ransacking of earth. I just need a break from the ladies first.

I liked the first volume even if it was a "little" too extraordinary.
But this second volume of the series is too much:
* The events of the story are far too extraordinary.
* People's behavior doesn't make sense, even with the author's explanations

Anyway, I did not dislike the book.
It is just frustating because I liked the overall story, the characters and the way the book has been written.
But I still wonder why some people did what they did in the book and too many coincidences kill its effect and become annoying.

PS:
By the way, some comments on French history are borderline.

Indian Hill 2

Another great foray into Mike's crazy world, there a lot more Info on the characters . The action continues on from the first book, more enemies are revealed and Mikes luck continues to suck. But he always finds a way of carrying on. I highly recommend this sort. Fab

I guess I only care about Michael and other characters couldn't keep my attention, because my attention kept slipping unless Michael was involved somehow... what happened again in this book?
Let's hope 3rd gets better, because this book certainly felt like an inbetween book for first and third books.

in book 2 the Talbot character I've come to love surfaces

Book 1 provides the juvenile life and insights of Mike Talbot. Book 2 is where the Mike Talbot character I've know and love from zombie fallout is born. Glad I stuck it out and read the second book. Now onto book 3.

I stopped listening to this book. Book one was tough to read through due to the terrible violence, I had to repeatedly live through, against women. This one began again and I just didn't want to deal. I love Mark Tufo but this is his earlier work. No thanks.

I had hard time sticking with this. Mainly because I hated Beth and I was so mad at Paul for a minute. Beth though….that one what a POS. The fact that Mike goes to ground for her ugh lol! On to next. Still worthy!!!

Awful, just plain awful book. Full of cliches from every alien film I’ve ever watched. Feels like it’s written by a teenage boy who has no real grasp of the world other than what he knows from watching tv. Shelved!

Indian Hill 2

Interesting concept. Could easily see another species coming to earth and taking advantage of the strife, animosity, greed and general stupidity is in the world. But I could also see the human spirit come out and fight for our place in the world

This audiobook is so good. I love the combination of Tufo and Runnette. This is just a great follow-up to the first installment. Watching our characters come to terms with both what happened to them and what they know is still coming was some great storytelling.

Loved it

I loved this book as much as the last. Mike is once again trouble and I didn’t know how it was going to play out. Absolutely amazing and I couldn’t stop turning the pages. Can’t wait for the next one!

This was OK. Interesting enough to keep reading but it is missing something for me. I loved the Zombie Fallout series, but this one is just meh.

Not as violent as the last one, but there were still a couple of spots I had to skim past.

Great action!

Enjoying this series immensely! Good character development, and the story is coming along nicely! Not as much as Zombie Fallout, and I am missing that aspect.

Awesome

This part of the story sure has a lot going on. There are surprises, lots of action, and danger from many directions. I'm really looking forward to the next one.

Gets tedious

I liked the first one better. Mark is a good writer but sometimes he takes to much time explaining what a character is thinking.

Made for TV. This isn't really a compliment. I really feel that Mark padded the story with the same shallow threads again and again. Girl meets boy in time of stress and has wild passionate sex, then feels guilty. And boy meets girl in time of...same old, same old.

Very interesting. Not as slow as the first book (Indian Hill 1: Indian Hill), but still a highly addictive read for me. If we could give half star's, I would of given this a 4.5 rating.

I do like the way Mark Tufo writes and he has a wicked imagination. This book shows the dark side of humanity during a disaster. Instead of everyone joining up forces to fight the oncoming alien invasion, they all become solo and greedy. It just shows how really messed up humanity can be. Look at what happened during Hurricane Katrina, instead of helping out the people who needed help, a lot of people were looting stores and stealing TV's. All on national television.

The continuation of the Indian Hill series just didn’t seem to do it for me. The two big issues I had were, first there isn’t much Mike Talbot which means that there isn’t that many start ass remarks and sarcasm which I feel is (or should be) the hallmark of a Talbot book. Second is that the plot doesn’t really go anywhere and it doesn’t move the story along very far. That being said it does have plenty of action and gore to go along so I’m moving on in the series but standing on its own its only just OK.
