The darkest text I have ever read by Dostoyevsky so far, and probably his darkest overall. I have to say, I first detested then felt attracted to Pyotr, haha. No joke though.

I love this cover for the novel though. There's something meek yet also eerie about it that works well with the dark elements of the novel.
