About the author

Francesca Simon grew up in California and attended both Yale and Oxford Universities, where she specialised in Medieval Studies. How this prepared her to write children’s books she cannot imagine, but it did give her a thorough grounding in alliteration.

She then threw away a lucrative career as a medievalist and worked as a freelance journalist, writing for the Sunday Times, Guardian, Mail on Sunday, Telegraph, and Vogue (US). After her son Joshua was born in 1989, she started writing children’s books full time. One of the UK’s best-selling children’s writers, Francesca has published over 50 books, including the immensely popular HORRID HENRY series, which has now sold over twelve million copies.

Francesca won the Children’s Book of the Year in 2008 at the British Book Awards for Horrid Henry and the Abominable Snowman. HORRID HENRY is published in 24 countries and is also an animated CITV series. She lives in London with her husband, son, and Tibetan Spaniel, Shanti.

Horrid Henry Rules The World is a great story. The story is about a child named Henry who thinks himself ruling the world. The author is Francesca Simon.
Francesca Simon is a British American author living in London, who is mostly known for writing the popular Horrid Henry series of children's books.
I liked the character of Horrid Henry. Horrid Henry is always horrible and rude and disrespectful. I liked the idea of the good and bad characters and it is funny.
This title features ten side-splitting stories revolving around Henry's school days as he tries to damage Miss Impatience Tutu's dance class and star in the Christmas play, among other things.
In my opinion all of the Horrid Henry books are seriously funny because Francesca Simon really brings to life what the characters are like and the cartoon version on TV is a really good modification of the books.
In the stories Francesca Simon uses alliteration for lots of the names of the characters such as Horrid Henry, Lazy Linda, Perfect Peter and Moody Margaret which makes the names easy to remember.
This book is the longest book I read as a child. It was entertaining and interesting. As a result, the book is very amazing ,and in my opinion, it is one of the best.

I liked this book becase it was SUPER DUPER TRUPER RUPER ZUPER CUPER SHUPER CHUPER LUPER THUPER MUPER FUNNY! It was funny because his evil tricks were amusing. In the Christmas play he sang ten green bottles. But in a story Perfect Peter played a trick on horried henrry but perfect peter was ment to be perfect. My favriot story was horried Henry peeks at peter's diray. I would recamend this book seven to nine yeas old

Henry is the one bullying in school and falls a sleep during class and dreams about ruling the world. The first thing he did was that he was going to have kids in his class that ha bullies to work for him.
