Marking the twenty-fifth anniversary of one of the world's most popular design teams, a colorful look at twenty-four of the duo's most spectacular homes utilizes more than 250 full-color photographs to capture the trademark elements and components of their design philosophy.
So much eye candy! I was inspired by the modern take and colors of the custom braided and hooked rugs. The vintage quilt displays and collections of blue Staffordshire are simply stunning. This is probably the first design book I’ve read cover to cover. It’s a gorgeous book that I’ll enjoy time and time again.
I was really struck by images from this book when I saw them in one of my mother's decorating magazines. The level of ingenuity is amazing. This pair of designers will, for instance, create a patterned rug and curtains just to match their client's treasured China pattern. The colors here are stunning--lots of blues, pinks, and bold pastels (no, that's not an oxymoron). There are no beige walls, rugs, or lampshades to be found here!
Love their use of color. So creative, some of my favorite rooms ever are done by them though I tend to like their more modern designs and not the folk art inspired spaces. Great for those who are bored with the beige/grey with "pops" of color designs.
