Author Tori Carrington is the penname of husband and wife writing team Lori and Tony Karayianni.

Hands down, penning a bio is always the most difficult writing challenge we take on. What do we say? What do we keep a secret? Considering we've been writing together for over twenty-two years...well, that reveals more about us than anything you'll likely read here. We're fiction writers simply because we enjoy escaping into an exciting, colorful, fictional world of our own making. Take great, shameless pleasure in delving into the lives of others. Revel in living vicariously through our characters, trying on career hats we'd never otherwise put on, stretching muscles we'd probably be better off excercising in reality. We won't even discuss how our writing allows us to voice opinions on society, romance and human sexuality that aren't subject to public ridicule but rather presented as entertainment. To go there, well, we'd be revealing a little too much, now, wouldn't we?

So we'll stick to just the facts, ma'am -- or sir, depending on your preference, which may or may not have anything to do with your sex. Should you desire more information, feel free to e-mail us and we'll provide you with our phone number, or -- our preference -- arrange to meet with you one-on-one where we can learn as much, or perhaps more, about you as you will about us. Depending on our mood, we may spill everything we'd prefer to keep a secret, like which traits we would change about the other if given half a chance. Likewise, we may wisecrack our way through the interview, sprinkle our responses with what we find exciting about our latest book, and blissfully skate over personal details that might bare a little too much.

Trust us, this is not an attempt to create an aura of mystery. We're not quite that saavy. No, we're just very protective of our evolving selves and consider ourselves open-minded, known to change an opinion the moment we voice it or are presented with further information, so we're hesitant to commit any to writing. Guess we're very Socrates-like (as opposed to Socratic) in that way, which isn't altogether a bad thing..

So rather than dictate to you here, we'll lay out the basic facts, then provide a number of links to others who have interviewed us.

I'm (Lori Schlachter Karayianni) a Holy Toledo, Ohio, native, having attended Central Catholic but ultimately graduating from Macomber-Whitney with certification in computer science. After working in the computer industry for a number of years -- and after Tony and I endeavored to write our first novel -- I switched to temp work which ultimately led to a four-year stint as a secretary/sales clerk in the engineering and international sales departments of Owens-Illinois, the international container company that put the "glass" into The Glass City. I put the brakes on before I reached the five-year mark, however, the point of no return for most dreamers who get caught in the corporate trap (more vacation time? Better benefits? Probably I should stay until retirement).

Tony's background couldn't be more different from mine, but thankfully it led him to me. Born in Smila, a small hillside village in the area of Ancient Olympia outside Pyrgos, Greece, (where his family has deep roots and an older brother still maintains the family olive groves) he was raised in Athens during a time of political and cultural upheaval, although neither stopped him from becoming a drummer in a successful pop band that often played with Greek singer Teris Chrysos. He immigrated to the U.S. in late 1976 and with the help of the Greek community achieved the American Dream. Only the hunger for something more, the restless searching that originally compelled him to turn his back on his successful music career and brought him here, remained. It wasn't until after we'd become a couple, and he turned to me and suggested that we try our hand at writing, that both of us discovered the true meaning of th

When I saw this at the library I snatched it before anyone else could get their paws on it....and boy was I in for a good read!!!

An action packed story unlike anything I've read before....Ryder is a high flying business exec and Seline a con woman (with a secret or two) who make for an unlikely couple. But this story isn't straight forward by any means and has more action/drama than a James Bond or in this case Jane Bond movie. Nothing is as it seems and the plot twists and turns faster than a Rattle Snake.
The sex is hot, fast and furious, a sweaty "dirty" lusty sort of sex that perfectly matches the rest of the story.

I've given this book 5 stars because I really enjoyed it. If you like an action packed story (guns, high speed chases etc) with fantastic raunchy sex and an unusual HEA then this may be one you'd enjoy.

I've often complained about Blaze authors not having a clue how to "mix business with pleasure" when it comes to sex and suspense. Well, the power duo behind the name Tori Carrington sure are an exception to the rule, making this story one of the best suspense-tinged Blazes I've read so far.

Seline Sanborn is a con artist. She's "infiltrated" the building of Blackwell & Blackwell with one specific goal in mind - take their money. Unfortunately her love of fast cars ends her in an impromptu chase through Manhattan competing with a Jag driver, but it isn't until she arrives back at work that she realizes the Jag driver was none other than the sexy, hunky CEO of Blackwell & Blackwell - and her boss - Ryder Blackwell.

The most important rule in an con artist's life - fly under the radar. Well, she blew it, since she's firmly on Ryder's radar and he's invited her up to his office. She knows he's up to no good, not with his reputation, so she jumps her schedule. She would transfer the money to her ghost accounts and would be out of Dodge a day early. First one - easy. Second one - not easy, since Ryder appears in her office.
Second most important rule in a con artist's life - never mix business with pleasure. And that night, in Ryder's penthouse, Seline blows that one, too, when the tow indulge in a night of set-the-sheets-ablaze, raunchy, non-stop sex.

Seline is gone when he exists the shower in the morning and by afternoon Ryder knows exactly why. But there's no chance he'll let he go away. She's screwed him twice, and while he can write off that quarter of a mil she's taken, he can't write off her disappearing night after their steamy, rug-burn-inducing night. And he won't rest until she's once again in his arms.

Well, this sure looked like a straightforward Harlequin Blaze story to me...With more sex (a lot raunchier that the average Blaze), well-developped and nicely-drawn characters, and loads more oomph that I expected.

Then, nine days of incessant searching, Ryder found her. Good for him. They had sex again. Good for them both. Then the bullets started flying, and I went "great, another one bites the dust". Boy was a wrong. Was I ever.

Because Lori and Tony Karayianni succeeded to combining great characters, steamy sex, great tension and angst, and one heck of a suspense subplot with loads of action, car chases, and the Mafia (a cliché that could've proved fatal to the story) in one killer combo. And I'm sure those extra pages helped a lot in bringing this story together, without rushing things or blundering over important details.

I was hooked from the first page to the last, the twists and turns just wouldn't end, the tension and emotions were tangible, the attraction grew with each passing moment, and the sex was simply hot.

This was definitely a scorcher with one heck of a plot...A Holy Grail of Blazes that I'm so happy to have found. A keeper!

WOW. Don't dismiss this one because it's a Harlequin - it has some hot, I mean HOT scenes! I realize their Blaze designation is spicier than their other titles, but, wow.

The hero is a self-made corporate millionaire, handsome, ex-Marine, Alpha, the whole-nine yards, as well as built and sexy in the extreme. The heroine has a checkered past, an illegal "career", an aura of mystery, and enough sex-appeal, wildness and beauty to attract the hero. You don't learn the heroine's motives for her extreme "con" lifestyle until well after the halfway point, but as our couple have already had some smoking encounters by then, you almost don't care! Then the adventure aspect picks up, and though I found the climax in the action unbelievable, it's almost as if the author herself didn't buy it, so you have a somewhat untraditional HEA that is still satisfying.

It's a quick read and fits perfectly between "heavier" books, so give it a try. It does contain frank sexual tems and activities that might offend some.

A female con artist sexes up a businessman after stealing his business's money--and then skips town. Despite obvious obstacles, he tracks her down--for an action-packed road romance full of more surprises, twists, and explosions than you can imagine. Great fun!
