It was not by chance that Jeremiah had left the city for the solitary surroundings that harbored his camper in the mountains. He watched as the world slowly slipped into the point of no return after the economic crash. Seeing the signs of unavoidable troubles, Jeremiah prepares himself for what he believes will be a long term depression. However, he soon finds himself in a struggle for survival as the world’s turmoil eventually leads to the ultimate nightmare. Follow Jeremiah as he faces the pain and hard decisions of living in a post apocalyptic world.
First, two complaints. The title of the book is misleading since it tends to make one think that some person is going to kill himself. Second, the book has numerous typos.
On the other hand, the story itself is excellent. Jeremiah describes a world not very much unlike ours where the U.S. is having an economic collapse. He moves up with a camper to a place in the mountains. Much of the story is about how he survives there.
Then things gets much, much worse as war breaks out in the Middle East and ends up becoming a world-wide nuclear war. Federal and local governments collapse. Cities, the ones that are left, are filled with violence
Questions arise as to whether or not he can survive, whether he can survive the violent thugs, if he can find someone to help ease his loneliness, and whether he can find if there are any towns left. It's a detailed and really good story. I'd give it a 5 except for the typos.
