Why isn't this novel getting the widespread attention it deserves? Oh yeah, because the word 'vegan' is in the title. Readers of all dietary paths will enjoy this book's realistic and sympathetic characters, exciting eco-adventure, and touch of the supernatural. Vivian Sharpe is wordier than most YA novels, which may throw some teen readers at first. However, those who stick with it will be rewarded with a wonderful story.

This book is a must read. This is a coming of age story of a 15 year old girl, Vivian who overnight becomes conscious of her own beliefs different from the friends she has always had and of her parents. This is a mystery where Vivian's awakened powers lead her to uncover something very wrong happening in her very own town. I really enjoyed this book and think it is perfect for young adults and adults alike.

A suspenseful thriller for young adults, but I'm 78 and I loved it! Important themes presented with urgency, charm and wit. Written well enough to deserve 4.6 stars, but since that's not an option, I'll give it 5.

Vivi is a superhero known as a supervegan. When Vivi’s eyes sparkle all is not lost. Vivi meets friends and she makes sure they are safe. Her circle is far and wide. Have no fear when Vivi is near.

I thoroughly enjoyed the adventures of Vivian Sharpe, finding it refreshing to have a work of fiction (either aimed at children or adults) that deals with vegetarianism rather than dystopic uprisings or teenage lusty angst.

The book is well written and reads quickly, and whilst as an author I might have handled some situations a little differently, overall VS comes together in a pleasing fashion. The development of empathy as a superpower is an amusing parallel - why do we need to fly and shoot lasers from our eyes if we can truly understand other people?

Well worth the purchase price, and when my children are a little older (currently toddlers) I will be encouraging them to read it for themselves.

Hmm. Nice idea, but not very well executed, I thought. The plot's a little thin and not as imaginative as I had hoped. Also, the Kindle edition I read had a ton of typos and even grammatical mistakes, where sentences had been jumbled together or missing words, like when you edit something you wrote in one place, but forget to follow through the entire sentence.
But it also had some good moments and I did eventually even warm up to some of the characters, so I wouldn't say it was entirely bad.

Once I got over my disappointment about the lack of more obvious superheroics/fantastic elements, I rather enjoyed this unusual story about a teenage activist.

I loved the story but the typos were really distracting! I hope another edition of this comes out that has been edited. Definitely worth a read, great characters and great story.
