In this updated collection of revolutionary articles, Sergiovanni encourages school leaders to discover the craft of moral leadership, practice effective instructional leadership, and build strong learning communities.
I read this book for graduate school and rated it according to other educational texts.
I loved many of the messages behind Sergiovanni's idea of servant leadership. I especially appreciated his frankness on certain topics like morality and the evaluation system.
My main issue with the text is the repetition. While it makes sense that Sergiovanni has to define ideas like culture or community each time he writes a new article, it does not translate well into a cohesive book. To put it frankly, it drove me absolutely nuts to have to read about the same basic ideas over and over again every 20 pages.
