Nothing here is what it seems, and it isn’t long before Winter, feeling a surging power for the first time, realizes that she is not who—or what—she thinks she is.
But when Winter feels an inexplicable crush for an elusive and dangerous boy at the school, she realizes a greater destiny is at play. She knows the relationship might destroy them both—yet she also knows that they can never be apart.

I really tried .. but it’s so bad ! Feels like an inter wrote this book. The writing is mid, the story doesn’t progress , the characters lack depth .. I’m not even curious to know what will happen next . I just gave up. Great premise, horrible execution
Nora, the central mystery, remains frustratingly vague until about three-quarters through the book, and even then, her character arc feels aimless.
We still don’t know what supernatural species she is, which oddly enough, is one of the few things keeping me curious. That slow reveal is kind of thrilling.
On the bright side, the world-building is imaginative. The pocket dimensions are a fun touch, and the supernatural elements have real potential. The teenage angst is present but not overwhelming, which makes the story more digestible. Plus, the fact that her parents are alive adds an emotional layer that’s rare in YA fantasy.
The characters do have depth—if you squint a little. There are glimpses of complexity, and while it’s not enough to carry the story for adult readers (especially fans of ACOTAR or Penn Cole), it might resonate more with a younger audience. This is definitely YA through and through, and if you're looking for something emotionally intense or richly layered, this might feel underwhelming.
Three books deep and I’m still scratching my head over the timeline. Supposedly, only a week has passed in-story, yet the constant time references make it feel like we’ve been on this journey for months.
Still, there’s something oddly compelling about it. Maybe it’s the promise of answers, or the sheer need to see how it all ends. It’s not a heavy read, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need—a book that doesn’t sit heavy in your gut, even if it doesn’t quite satisfy your craving for depth.
3 books in and I’m still not exactly sure of the timeline of this book. Apparently we’re only about a week into the story but there’s so many time based references that it doesn’t follow a coherent timeline. Also the characters say some really cheesy phrases.
You don’t find out who Nora is, or is pretending to be- not sure exactly, until 3/4 of the way through the book. And her character doesn’t have a clear direction.
This series wasn't exactly what I Expected it to be but it's been a good read it's kind of a cross between Harry Potter and Indiana jones. There is a lot of moving parts to this story each book introduces new parts but as of right now I am in book four and it's still has me guessing as to what's going to happen it's not cut and dry like a lot of books where you know exactly what's going to happen it has lots of unexpected surprises looking forward to finishing the series
The journey to find the coin in the pocket dimension was pretty cool tbh. Lots of trials to get through! I'm wondering how Winter is going to get Alec back. Is he really dead? Or does the ultimate sacrifice mean something other than death? Also, how are we gonna get her dad and mom back?
I have hope for the next one!

This book series is a fun read. I got hooked in right off the bat. I can’t wait for the last two books to come out. I recommend that you purchase this series!
A teenage feeling of slow burn. They finally kiss! Yayy but then Alec goes and does that?!? I'm still intrigued to find out what happens so of course l go to the next book but come onnnnnn
Much better than book 2… there was a new audio book reader which helped immensely. The dialogue is still so cheesy, but now I’m too deep in to not finish the series.
This whole series is okay. I finished it at least, but I didn’t like the way the story progressed and honestly didn’t care for her love interest at all
