Most of the book reads just like any other parenting book (which should you be a lightbulb moment if you have no familiarity with ASD). The key differences being that ASD kids are taught to lie to protect the feelings of neurotypicals and that ASD kids will be bullied in greater numbers. Author assumes reader is a white, neurotypical Christian.
This book is a little dated. (It’s called ASD now.) I wish everyone who knows my family would read this book. It would open their minds to how it works. This book is very accurate and explains in a simple way.
I did not read every chapter of this book, only the ones that were applicable to my questions. However, it was an informative resource and was written in clear, jargon-free language. I would recommend it!
