Reminds me of X:1999. Atsuma is on a quest to find the Okikurumi and thinks it's hidden inside NOA somewhere, so at the invitation of Sumire, one of the three highest generals of NOA, he joins to investigate further. There has been a series of earth quakes that have destroyed civilization in Japan and NOA is now the only line of defense against ATA monsters.
