Was this story unnecessary? Probably so but it’s the Eisenberg’s so I’ll take them any way I can 🥰 Was Laike a bit dramatic?! Yes but it’s Laike so what else do you expect? He has matured tho! Was Baisleigh emotionally unstable?! Yes but she’s pregnant! That’s a given. The most important question in this review…. 🗣️IS LUCA STILL THAT NÎGGA?! Yes TF he is!!! And he gone make sure you never forget that ish! Over and out ✌🏽
This is not the update I was hoping for. I thought we’d at least get to see Laike and Baisleigh’s wedding on page but, they were already married with baby number two on the way. While the drama with Nicholas was enjoyable, I could’ve done without it. I have to agree with Rashawnda and some of the other reviewers. I don’t know that this book was necessary but, am I complaining about it? Absolutely not! Anytime we get to revisit with Luca, Laike, and Keanu I’m with it.
This felt like a missing scene from one of the books. It wouldn't fit in with Laike's book because it was so far ahead in way of time. I don't think we needed this update, but I'm always greedy for the Eisenbergs. I was praying for no additional dramatics. It does my heart good to see Basleigh and Laike doing well.
The small but powerful presence of Luca is always felt. As well as the encouraging spirit of Ever.
The update almost took my soul. Grey Huffington does not play fair. Baisleigh, girl, GH had me scared for a few minutes. It was a short period that felt like hours as the author pulled me deeper into this one. I'm happy, though.
Short and to the point. One thing about the Eisenberg men is they don’t play about their women. They stick together and always ready to cause havoc. Although this story could have been included in one of the other books, I’m glad that Grey gave us such an great update of Baisleigh and Laike. I absolutely love them. The story was well written, flowed well and definitely kept my attention.
I enjoyed this short. It was great to revisit Laike & Baisleigh after finding their way back to each other in Laike’s book. The jealous ex trope I wasn’t expecting but it was refreshing to see the Eisenberg brothers rally for their own, no questions asked. I bet Baisleigh will think twice next time Laike gives her clear directions. I enjoyed it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- Baisleigh - ( The Eisenberg Effect) - Grey Huffington
Let’s roll into another Mini -Review. And I have to say I love how Grey Huffington doesn’t give us a lot but just enough to know what these couples are doing after the ending of their original story.
Baisleigh is a character I truly enjoyed getting to know through out all these books. Cause let’s be for real it takes a strong woman to love Laike Eisenberg 😂.
In this novella we find Baisleigh and Laike a couple years after marriage and baby #1. And getting ready for baby #2. When a chance encounter with the pass leaves Laike in some trouble, Baisleigh does what she needs to do to make sure her man is going to be ok.
Short and sweet ok. 60 pages to let us know that Baisleigh is down to ride for Laike through it all. And while she doesn’t have to she will do anything to make sure that her man is good!! Laike is still being Laike in the best way and I’ll always love him for that. If you want a quick follow up. This is it.
Just like the Eisenberg men to take control and give all the feels.
“Yes you could’ve because that is your job, Baisleigh. You sit here and look pretty while I worry, sweat, take the heat, and make sure that home is straight in the end. How would I have known or gotten to you in time if something would’ve happened to you over there? What the fuck were you thinking, B? You got more sense than that. This nigga could’ve done anything to you! What the fuck, yo?”
“That was then, B. This is now. You don’t get to handle shit alone, not when it can prove to be harmful to our children or at all really. That’s what I’m here for. If I can’t take your stress away, then it wouldn’t be a point of me being in your life. Laundry, groceries, baby supplies, meals, doctor’s appointments, and stuff like that is all you need on your dome. The big shit, that’s on me, baby. You let me handle that. Did you not think I would?”
This was a short and cute read. I love getting updates on the characters, so this was perfect. It showed that every obstacle you are faced with does not have to be an explosive. Sometimes, I see the problem, take a step back, and come back from a different angle. I love how much Laike has matured over time.
Didn’t see a point in this book but I love me some Eisnebergs so any update is good update lol. Happy to see Laike and Baisleigh still going strong. Laike still crazy lol. Luca presence is always welcomed. We love us some Luca in these streets. Very short and quick update.
I needed this update like it was breath. I love that they are going strong but I’m going to need a Lakie Squared like we had a Luca Squared. Come on Grey make it happen
It was an interesting storyline, creating an incident for the youngest Eisenberg son to go to jail, but the story barely got off the ground in the 51 pages. It had potential but fell flat.
