A new to me author, a new series, and I am in love! I am a romantic suspense junkie, and this book is unlike anything I have read before. I expect the edge of the seat suspense, the strong men who love to protect their women, who are not weak by the way, and the danger. The way Steel immediately takes to Karlie when he finds her, the way he kept searching for her, never wavering on their relationship, no matter that it was short.
Then, add his team, and we will have a great series of books to read for a while.

Good
I liked that Steel was all in love with her and was such a good man from the getgo. She was captured and held captive for 11 months and he never stopped looking for her. This was just after one weekend together. A little eye roll please but I went with it. He saves her without knowing it was her he was saving. And she has a surprise for him. Its good. Lots of violence because some drug lord wants her. Badly! Weird but again I roll with it. Lots of chases and violence and more kidnapping and good triumphs over evil. It was a little anticlimactic actually. Might read about some of the other guys too.

This is another amazing spinoff/crossover series from the original WJ Security. It features a group of alpha men who want to right the wrongs in the world. Their mission is to protect those in need and eliminate those who pose a threat.
Each member is hot, sexy, but full of love for the one woman who they vow to protect. They are a brotherhood who watch each others backs.
I'm completely hooked on this series as the others and the characters with their wit, humour, banter and sarcasm. The mix of action, danger, and laughter has me fully engaged.

I enjoyed Karlie and Steel's story! The suspense was great, and I didn't see that coming. I'm looking forward to continuing the series.

I liked this book, but this plot seemed familiar to me. This book is very similar to Loss Recovery by Jemma Westbrook. While reading I had feeling I already read this book...
examples of the same elements:
-Mm is part of security team, they're operating in grey area.
-Main couple spend only hours with each oder(before book) then they are separated and can't find each other. During this time together they conceived a child, which the father finds out about only during the plot of this book.
-Mf is in danger, so they are in remote location with other team members
-Haker character, who everybody thinks will be male but when they show up it's a badass woman,
There's more. Even style of writing is very similar I just don't know how to feel about this book and if those similarities are just a coincidence.

If this book is any indication of what she has in store for us, then get ready for some heart-stopping, sit on the edge of your seat suspense series that is full of alpha, possessive and God-like men and women who are not weak or scared but strong and know what they want. Yes, they might need rescuing or help but that doesn't mean they are weak or helpless.

Wow, wow, wow, wow! Blackguard Security is off to a rip-roaring start with a story that literally blasts Phantom team into existence! Steel met Karlie on a night when he had just lost his grandma. She was stood up by her on-line dating app match. Their weekend was nothing short of the start of their forever. Or so they thought. Steel was a member of the team that Jaxson (from Bravo Team, WJ Protective Services series) exposed their boss to be a monster and corrupt as they come. Faced with dishonorable discharge, he joins Jaxon and Daniel on a new team. When Karlie disappears after returning from her magical weekend of meeting Steel, he swears to find her. He knows she didn't ghost him. Something is terribly wrong. He joins Phantom team to get the help he needs to find her. 11 months of captivity in horrible conditions have Karlie wondering if she will ever escape. But she has something to live for. Her daughter. Steel and his team find her in Italy when they show up looking for the man who took her, the head of the Italian Mafia, not knowing she was there as well. Steel will do whatever it takes to protect his family, even when a twist in the tale results in Karlie having amnesia. I know that we have a whole big series coming our way. I know that there will be danger. Heck, I even know that the danger Karlie is facing here won’t just disappear. But that all pales against this one big thing. And it’s big.
Steel and Karlie had one weekend. One good, no….great weekend. But then she disappeared. And here’s the big thing: Steel doesn’t stop looking for her. He doesn’t get distracted or decide that the best way over a woman is another woman. Nope. He even takes a job because he knows it’ll offer resources he needs. And who doesn’t love something like that? This guy decides he’s all in and doesn’t even flinch at maybe giving up. So when he and Karlie are reunited with a few big surprises along the way, I’m hooked.
And then we have Maddox. And Chance. And everyone else. But I really look forward to Maddox. The attitude, the cheek, the sarcasm. Oh, yeah. I think I’m gonna really like this series.

As always the path to true love does not run smoothly and the story is a real roller coaster ride of excitement, suspense and danger. Karlie and Steel are a wonderful couple, an alpha male and a strong and determined heroine who have a chance encounter and spend the weekend together. Karlie disappears and Steele finds her again whilst on a mission. The path to true love certainly does not run smoothly, there is danger lurking at every corner and the couple need to fight hard for their happy ending.
This book has it all, camaraderie, teamwork, passion, chemistry and and an exciting story. I really couldn't put this book down and eagerly await the rest of the series.

Oh my gosh this story is so good! I read the first paragraph and said holy cow let’s go! This was the best start to a new series I have ever read! I can’t wait to see where this ride takes me!
After the best weekend of her life, Karlie is still floating on air when she answers her front door without even looking to see who it is first and is shocked to find her worst nightmare standing there. Hours later, Karlie wakes up in a dark and dingy basement. She has been kidnapped by the mob.
Steel is so happy that he finally found the girl of his dreams. His happiness is very short lived when he finds himself ghosted. Karlie is not answering his calls or texts. After the perfect weekend that they had together he knows that there is something wrong. He dedicates every spare moment the next several months trying to locate her.
The twists and turns of this story will keep you on the edge of your seat. I just loved the chemistry between Karlie and Steel.

Karlie Holmes and Steel Jameson spent a weekend together almost a year ago. Steel has been looking for her ever since she left. What Steel didn’t know was the day Karlie left she was kidnapped. While held captive, she was forced to deliver her baby girl by herself. Steel busts the door down and is shocked to learn the baby girl is his. They get them to the hospital and while in there, a nurse drugs Karlie and has to be put in a medical coma. When she finally awakes Karlie doesn’t recognize Steel or her baby. Steel takes her back to New Mexico where the team lives and works. Little by little Karlie’s memories return and with their return, the man who kidnapped her and why. When Karlie is kidnapped again, Steel will stop at nothing to get her back.
First time reading this author and I will be checking out the rest in this series. Action. Suspense. Second chance love. Family secrets. Steamy. I couldn’t put it down.

This is the beginning of the Phantom team series and you have an eclectic mix of dinted and haunted warriors who need to prove to themselves and the world that they are on the side of good, defending those who cannot defend themselves and removing the dangerous and evil from the world.
A fantastic read on Kindle Unlimited, I cannot wait for book two and the fireworks that I have a feeling have only just begun.

Loved this book. The storyline was original and full of emotion.
This was about Karlie who was kidnapped and almost a year later, she is found by Steel and his Blackguard Security team.
Absolutely loved this whole book. Nothing I didn't like. Elizabella gave us a plot full of great characters and an interesting take on a dubious situation.
Most of all I enjoyed the chemistry that Karlie had for Steel even when she couldn't remember him initially. He was sweet and "gooey" to her and oh so protective. I really admired that part.
Well written, enjoyed the danger and the layered plot as well as the numerous characters that both make up the team as well as the"inlaws".

The kidnapping and subsequent amnesia made for an interesting premise; that's what pulled me into the story. While I enjoyed the story well enough to finish it, I found the writing a little weak. Too many of the characters were too perfect; they always said exactly the right, supportive things at the right time.
Another issue was the introduction of so many characters and trying to give them background. While I realize this is the first in a series, and I assume a spin-off from a previous series, too much time was spent trying to flesh out these peripheral characters instead of just introduce them in a way thar leaves one interested in getting to know "what was THAT all about?" in a later (or previous) book.
It just could have been done a bit better.

Karlie and Steel give you a read that will pull you in and keep you on the edge of your seat, wanting more. After spending a weekend together, they make plans to meet again when she disappears. 11 months when they find her, she has a baby and has been locked up. After they get her out, she almost dies and then loses her memories. When they get her back home, she needs help to try and remember. When she does things, heat up for her and Steel, and then she gets taken. Will he and his team find her before it's too late?

Karlie had been on the perfect date with the perfect man, thinking it was him she opened her door, only it wasn’t him, it was the beginning of her nightmare.
Steel knew the woman from the weekend was it for him, but his gut tells him she didn’t ghost him, so he starts using all the resources he can to find her. Steel knows that he’s going to find Karlie and hope that she loves him as much as he does her.
On a mission Steel never expected that it would end up with him finding Karlie or learning the nightmare that she’d been in and the surprise he never knew he wanted.
When Karlie is threatened and put in a coma, only to wake without any memories, they never thought that the memories when they were unlocked would lead to put everyone in danger.

This book was so very good. Karli and Steel’s story drew me in and had me totally hooked. It was not an easy road for them especially as Karli disappears for a year and Steel had no way of finding her and when he finally does he discovers a huge secret. Karli and Steel had so much chemistry you could feel it oozing off the pages. If you want a book with lots of heat, passion, danger and suspense you must read this one. It will have you on the edge of your seat but also swooning over Steel and his loving nature. Lots of great characters and hunky men to enjoy. A great start to this new series.

What. A. Story!
This was definitely not what I expected but at the same time definitely expected.
Karlie & Steel were seemingly fated from the beginning with their chance encounter but obviously cruel fate stepped in & Karlie was taken the same night she left Steel. But he also left Karlie with a little something too.
Almost a year later, he rescues her but also discovers Anna, his sweet less than a month old daughter.
After a crazy escape & hospital stay, they start to reconnect & adjust to the new lives they’ll be living.
These two together were so sweet & adorable. Especially Steel with Anna gah my ovaries 😩

Such such such a good book!! I love this author so much. I loved the chemistry between karlie and steel is amazing. I am so glad they got there happy ending. It sounds like they were meant to be together just everything got derailed after a short period of time. I cannot imagine having to reset her life completely tho. I can imagine it must be hard to do that. Steel and his daughter are so cute though! I really recommend reading this book as well as all of elizabella's books. They wolnt disappoint.

Lacked Spark
It was a well written book. I've read other books by this author and really liked them. I wanted to like this book more than I did.
It was redundant in so many places that it slowed the flow of the book. I found it to be a bit boring and whiney. It lacked humor .
It really needed humor as a plot device to move the story along and keep it interesting. The supporting characters seemed a bit lifeless. This just kept me from investing in the main characters hope that the second book is better.

Loved the romance between Steel and Karlie!!!
I loved when Steel and his team found Karlie and he found out that she had a baby and that the baby was his and he took care of his daughter and Karlie!!!
Loved the suspense in the book has well.
I really enjoyed this book.
This was on my March TBR List to read.
And I also loved how he protected his daughter and Karlie.
And I am ready to read more books from this series.

I adore Steel and Karlie. Nothing hotter than a growly alpha hero with a tiny baby in his arms. Karlie is a cool character. She has an inner toughness but is as sweet as can be. Baby Anna is adorable. I loved the storyline and was hooked from the first page. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

This book was amazing! Steele was so intense and there’s nothing better than an alpha who falls fast and hard for his lady. Karlie was tough and innocent at the same time. They had such passion together, such chemistry. This book kept me on my toes, I did not except the twists that came. I can not wait for the next book, this was such a great read. Could not put it down!

You got to be a little grey to do the right thing. What a fabulous start to this team of grumpy, flirty, funny & amazing group of men & their women. Steel & Karli start off with a bang & keep us hot, bothered & also sighing with happiness. Banter within the team left me laughing & the action on edge. Looking forward to reading each of their stories! A true review of my ARC.

Received as an ARC and leaving my honest review voluntarily. Plot was fast paced and engaging and had a good dose of emotion, suspense, action and definitely steam....couldn't put the book down wanting to know what comes next. Story ends with Steel and Karlie's HEA but the main story arc continues so can't wait to see what comes next!
