Tips, Tricks, & Techniques: A Self-Directed Approach to Easier Learning

Rate this book
Marlene and Snell Buchanan were educators. They both had dedicated their lives to teaching and guiding their students through the learning process. Even as seasoned teachers, they were not prepared for the learning challenges their only son, James, would encounter.
James was deprived of oxygen during delivery causing him to be developmentally delayed and mildly mentally handicapped. Marlene and Snell researched every avenue to help James develop and grow. Attending courses taught by Barbara Meister Vitale, they found the direction and support they needed using color and music.
Discovering how the tips, tricks, and techniques helped James, they created a program to help others overcome learning obstacles. This book is their curriculum. Marlene and Snell have since retired. James has grown into a compassionate, intelligent young man who loves glass blowing, taxidermy, and video games.
Marlene continues to teach the Tips, Tricks, & Techniques curriculum in Senior Centers, Special Needs Programs, and other settings. She is an award-winning author for her Southern Humor and Cozy Mysteries. Marlene shares her humor and inspirations through public speaking, writing columns for various print and on-line magazines, and novels.
