A nice book about Alaska. The pictures used were a good representation. I like how the book was divided up by different topics and it had the basic information/facts about the state at the beginning of the book. It was too wordy for my 6 year old, but a good level for my 9 year old. There are a lot of numbers thrown around in the text which makes for a dry reading, so it definitely reads as more factual than interesting. Overall a good book to supplement learning about Alaska, though I'd recommend others to bring out the fascinating aspects of the state.
